I got the same camera with no cover, and the funny thing? I had checked the speed on my pc. I know the PC has USB 3, This camera is NOT , So Be careful. I’ve had a Logitech C920 for about 6 years and have probably put over a thousand hours on it live streaming, zooming, skypeing, etc. That webcam is pretty much known as the gold standard of webcams. It has served me well. The C920 is currently $79.99 on AMZN. This UOKIER is currently $7.99. Take a look at my screen shot and you tell me: Does the C920 look ten times better than the UOKIER? Yes, the UOKIER’s colors are not are as rich. Yes, the UOKIER’s image processor definitely over sharpens the picture. And yes, the UOKIER’s cheaper lens makes things look a bit fish-bowly. But the overall video quality is way better than I expected for 8 bucks. It blows the integrated webcam on my $400 Dell laptop away. For 8 bucks. Bottom line: I bought two. (BTW – The mic on this sucks. Pick up a Fifine K669B for $26 if you want to sound great on the cheap.)Read more

I bought this camera by searching for usb 3.0 webcams. I was amazed by the very low price and decided to give it a try. I was prepared to be disappointed, but was pleasantly surprised! I plugged into a powered USB 3.0 port connected to a Surface Pro 3. It was a little glitchy at first, so I rebooted Windows 10 and started up Skype and called my Mom. Twice during the call, my picture froze and I powered off the port and back on, fixing the problem. The call went well after that and my Mom said the pic looked way better than the other camera (Logitech USB 2.0). Audio pickup was fine.Read more

I got this camera for less than $10, and I don’t really have high expectations. I just needed something for “back up” purposes in case a camera in my household broke (got several people here that use camera due to pandemic). However, for the price, it works great! Putting it in perspective, at the time of my purchase, many items, specially electronics, were really high priced. It is clear, crisp and works good in normal light. Struggles in low-light condition and has a “bow tie” effect on the left/right side. It’s got built-in mic as well, but remember to not to have too high expectations: it works, but nowhere near sound great. The mic is acceptable, meaning, the other person can hear and understand you but it sounds hollow/metallic/hard to explain. I have to remove one star from it because it keeps failing during my 24hr stress test, but the seller replaced it quickly so that’s a good one too. Can’t change the product review (yet) but I have a separate feedback for the seller for their stand on the product and quick response. If anything changes on my experience with the replacement, I may come and update this review based on that.Read more

Bought this for my Church to Broadcast live on Facebook. Installation was simple. I plugged in the USB end into the port on my PC. Then opened FB started a live session. Chose the new camera and the picture quality was very impressive. The audio it picked up from our preacher, all the way in the back like he was mic’d the camera was roughly 50 ft. away from the pulpit. Very pleased with this camera. Streaming quality on FB was excellent.Read more

I don’t really use webcams, but I might have to some time. So a 10 dollar camera was nice to find. Like I said, I plugged it in and it worked. The picture is nice and sharp but kind of fish eyed. Kind of magnifies things. I haven’t tried it online for anything. Computer had no problem recognizing it. Definitely plug and play. Pretty perfect 10 dollar camera. But if you’re really concerned about how you come across on your camera, probably want to do some more looking and spend some more money. Enough cord that you can set it up just about anywhere you want to. The little tripod works good, so it’s really easy to aim. You can’t really clip it to the monitor.Read more

This webcam constantly freezes the video on me. I haven’t been able to get through a video call without it freezing multiple times. I would not recommend it if you don’t want to run into this problem.Read more

I needed the absolute cheapest camera I could find for a project I’m working on (object tracking software), and I came across this one. I ordered it with low expectations, considering the camera I really wanted was much more expensive. The plan was to get this cheap one for my project first to test with and get the more expensive one later, but I’m not so sure I’ll need to get the expensive one… this cheap little camera does everything I need a camera for. It works so freaking well it makes me giddy that something so cheap is so functional. For those curious, I’m building a motorized laser turret that will track objects in real time, based on what the camera sees. This cheap camera has good enough image quality that the object tracking software has no problem at all. Wildly impressed for a few bucks. Fun little project camera. I saw that the price dropped even more on Black Friday, so I ordered another one just to have around for future projects. It’s basically free at 8 bucks.Read more
