Just received this monocular. It has a nice feel and seems to be made well. HOWEVER, it has weaker optics than advertised. I fell for the 40 magnification power capability, which is simply not in this one. I have Bushnell 12×42 Binoculars and can see more clearly and closer with them, when viewing the same item and distance, than I can with this Monocular. I recommend that buyers be aware that these are ok for a beginner but there are better options out there. Keep shopping.Read more

I was pleasantly surprised with this product, it performed better than expected. I took these binoculars to Michigan and walked around a prairie ecosystem and a state park, getting an up close look at wildlife of all sorts. My initial experience with the monocular was a positive one. Focusing is straightforward while using this monocular, and all of the attachments were simple and easy to use. The monocular appears to be of high quality, and it also has a rubberized coating. I can use it to picture and observe the birds in my backyard, among other things. This 40×60 monocular is definitely not 40X power. If anything, I’d say somewhere around 16×60 power. So, if you are looking for a power magnification, this one is not for you. Having said that, it was a nice monocular and easy to use. That is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1.Read more
