1936-1939 Silver 2 Reichsmark. The Reichsmark (German: [ˈʁaɪ̯çsˌmaɐ̯k] (About this soundlisten); sign: ℛℳ or RM) was the currency of Germany from 1924 until 20 June 1948 in West Germany, where it was replaced with the Deutsche Mark, and until 23 June 1948 in East Germany when it was replaced by the East German mark. The Reichsmark was subdivided into 100 Reichspfennig (rpt or ℛ₰). The Mark is an ancient Germanic weight measure, traditionally a half pound, later used for several coins; whereas Reich (realm in English), comes from the official name for the German state from 1871 to 1945, Deutsches Reich.

Beautiful piece of history for any coin collector. This review obviously doesn’t condone the actions of the Nazis, but to have something from that era is great. The coin arrived quickly and in excellent condition. Highly recommend.Read more

Beautiful coin! I am not a “coin collector” so I am not an expert on grading coins but this coin looks like it could have been stamped yesterday. It was shipped without delay and I have zero complaints. I wish this coin could speak(not really, that would be creepy). I love history and look at this coin and wonder if it was in the pocket of a soldier in a trench, taken from a POW, spent the war in some ammunition worker’s coin jar on his nightstand, the possibilities are endless. A great piece of history. Get one! Especially if you are a history buff. Great buy.Read more

The coin itself was in “good” condition, should have been cleaned up a little. other than that not bad. I recommend everyone with a sense of history obtain one before history is erased. I’m going to check the silver content just to keep the seller honest. a bit too much verdigris for my comfort on a mostly silver coin.Read more

Looks nothing like the quality shown. The pictures on the site are deceitful. Showing a bright beautiful coin. But received a some what worn out, dule shine, beat up looking piece of history. I definitely was expecting a old coin. But nothing like this. DisappointmentRead more

Seems to be hit or miss with these. I was quite happy with the quality of the product I received. My friend ordered the same coins and the coins were worn to the point that you could barely discern the swastika. I still gave 5 stars because this is my review and not his. Mine looked more or less like the picture.Read more

What a gem. No complaints about condition. I reviewed the photos. The coin I received undoubtedly passed through Nazi hands. To the Victor goes the spoils. An undeniably remarkable piece of history.Read more
