Okay lets start with the biggie, application of the film. The instructions were very poorly translated but basically you create a “hinge” with some stickers to align things perfectly, then you clean, then you pull off the film and apply. If you do this in a no-breeze, low-dust, environment (I actually apply screen protectors inside a gallon ziplock bag to cut down on dust) then you can get a perfectly aligned protector. If you have some dust specs then go back and remove them with the other stickers BEFORE you finish wiping it all completely onto the screen. So assuming your install has been successful/satisfactory then what you get is a very slightly matte, non-glare, surface that feel a lot more like fine writing paper than I ever expected. My ability to jot down legible hand-written notes on my iPad Air has gone up by at least 70% and I couldn’t be more pleased with the feel of writing (I use a Logi Crayon, but I borrowed a friends iPencil and it’s just as nice). The fit on my Gen3 iPad Air is absolutely perfect and I have a pretty high degree of confidence that the screen is being well protected. Of course this cover is going to be more susceptible to scrapes and scratches over time vs tempered glass but this product is pretty cheap so if your protector starts looking rough…replace the darned thing! Highly recommendedRead more

I was super stoked to get two of these for $14, especially because the slick glass protectors are smudgy as hell and really hard to write on with the Apple Pencil. The install was really easy and the instructions clear for someone whose installed screen protectors before. I like the protector so far, especially the rougher texture, BUT it’s really grainy visually. Where the standard glass protectors are crystal clear, this screen protector makes the images on the screen gritty and gives it an almost rainbowy-pixelated-look. It’s really a shame that it does that as I use my ipad for art specifically and it’s really distracting. However, the more I use it the less I notice.Read more

There are many options out there for “paper like” protectors and they vary in price. This one is AMAZING! I was relatively thorough in my research for a good one, but this one definitely outperformed my expectations. Easy install and it truly does feel like paper — at least it has this resistance that we’re all looking for in the “paper feel” of a screen protector. To be candid, I’m not out for “protection” of my screen, I’m more looking for that feel/resistance. And this is what I’ve been searching for at a good price. Extremely happy with it. I will DEFINITELY buy again. This is my go-to paper feel protector. Hope this reinforced your decision on which to buy.Read more

I do a lot of graphic design and sketch almost all ideas preliminary to sitting down in front of design software. The pebbly texture of this surface protector is more “realistic” to paper feel, and conducive to sketching. I’m very pleased with this product.Read more

This has been a game changer when it comes to drawing on my IPad Pro. I have always hated the feeling of drawing on glass while using Procreate and writing notes for my classes, and this has absaloutely fixed the problem. It was easy to apply and the air bubbles have settled out over time. The matte texture not only makes it feel better to write on, but greatly reduces glare and it makes using your IPad in daylight much easier. One thing to keep in mind is that over time it will grind at your Apple Pencil tip, but this doesn’t bother me too much. The screen protector also adds the teeniest bit of pixelization due to the gritty texture but I hardly notice it with normal use.Read more

Read, re-read, and then re-re-read the instructions. They expect you to know how to install them when you’re using the instructions. My husband and I are intelligent people who often work skilled jobs with our hands. We bought 4 for 2 IPADs. 3 were in the trash during install. The one that made it on is in great condition and my daughter draws on it often. No cracks or adherence issues 6 months later. That being said, inexpensive enough to buy extras. I’d recommend using a stylus (we use generic ones), but that’s my preference.Read more

No matter how hard I tried I couldn’t get the screen protector on without dust. I cleaned, vacuumed and waited and always try to make the most sterile environment and I just couldn’t get these. The touch screen works fine but now it’s noisy because of the matte finish, sometimes gets annoying. When using with the pencil it is great-not excellent. It does help so much with writing and drawing. I feel like the “grit” should be a little finer so it flows just a little better. I want to like it, I just can’t recommend it at this time.Read more

I got this to use on my iPad for drawing while I waited for my paperlike brand covers to be delivered. I’ve since gotten the paperlike product but this protector is so serviceable I have no reason to switch it out so I haven’t even used them yet! I enjoy the texture a lot. It does change the way the screen looks a little but I got used to that very quickly, I also watch Netflix on this iPad and I don’t even notice it anymore. Any screen protector for drawing/writing is going to change the way the screen looks so that’s fine by me. I’ve had it on for a couple months now and all is well! Application was pretty painless if following the directions. It even comes with a squeegee like tool to press bubble out, which helped a ton. I’m glad to have that thing for all my screen cover applications in the futureRead more
