I like the look and feel of these popsicle sticks. The wood looks classy. I used these to build a hideout for my hamster. I wasn’t expecting them to be this size, I thought they would be the ordinary size popsicle sticks but these are really thin so I had to use more pieces which was a pain cause they were difficult to cut. Anyway really good quality wood. My hamster house looks like a luxury mansion. He had tried to chew them but so far, they haven’t broke.Read more

I’m going to use these stick for a purpose that doesn’t require strong and sturdy sticks but I was struck by how tight-grained and sturdy these are. In fact, it dawned on me that these would be excellent for model making. I just wish I was a model-maker because these would be great for that. Even though I’m not a model maker, I’m aware that grain would be important. Sticks with obvious grain would look out of place in a model because the grain wouldn’t fit the scale. But these have such tight-grain that they could be finished to look like hardwood. They are also very strong so they would have to be soaked in water or steamed to be bent. They’re so nice that I’m actually thinking of giving model making a try. These would be excellent, for example, to make a model boat.Read more

I’ve used hundreds of these types of “popsicle” sticks over the years to stir tiny cups of epoxy and apply to various projects. These are the only ones that BREAK under just a small amount of pressure (like moving glue into a small hole, etc.) I’ve already broken a few of them, and I’m surprised each time. They look nice, but are made of a weaker wood than I’ve every purchased before. In my experience, the Walmart ones tend to be much stronger.Read more
