Stress caused my muscles to lock throughout my left shoulder blade, top shoulder, into the left side of my neck, was so bad I could hardly turn my head. I tried to stretch and do yoga, which caused shooting pains into my left arm. I went and paid $150 for a massage, which made the pain worse the next day. In fact, it caused bad muscle spasms in my neck and I was grimacing while talking to clients. Laying on a heating pad for hours eased some pain, but the muscles just tense back up again. I ordered these balls. I got them the next morning. Opened them up and rolled around on the single smooth ball about 10 minutes (our floor is wooden so there was no give). I started just outside my left shoulder blade to loosen that tightness, and rolled the ball upward, staying along the shoulder blade muscles. That’s where a lot of stress is kept. I stopped and held the pressure in place for ~30 seconds, and did arm stretches/movements along the way. Hurt like hell. The ball definitely pushes into the tense points, and that’s painful. But the pressure is so focused and accurate, it’s better than a masseuse simply mashing in general areas. Once I moved the ball to my top shoulder and neck, I turned on my side slightly to face a 45 degree angle so the ball could really get into the deeper pain points. Felt so much better when I got up. Not 100%, but definitely easier and more relaxed.Read more

Simply awesome. No complaints. I definitely recommend the large (4.75”) size. I have a certification from the NASM for personal training, and learning about self-myofascial relief is part of the required reading. I used to use a big smooth foam roller, and I was always a little frustrated with how hard it was to really do anything for the knots in my back, glutes/piriformis, and inner thigh muscles (adductors). This ball makes it soooo much easier to get in those areas and break up and relax the fascia there. I can’t recommend it enough. Follow the directions and pictures. If you are less mobile use it against a wall while standing up and move it in small circles like they say over the worst knots and then pause for 15-30 secs over a knot until you feel it relax. Mentally focus on the area, and make sure you are not tensing the muscle you are working on. Deep breathing will help with this. Do NOT hold your breath. I also recommend the Resteck Shiatsu Massager.Read more

4KOR did it with this combo pack! I’ve been blessed with plenty of knots through out my adult hood. Some days the pain is unbearable and my back, neck is just so tense. I mostly use the spikey ball and normal lacrosse ball to pin point tender spots and knots on my back. I also use it for manual massage on my quads and if you are ADVANCED and can take the pain you can roll on these bad boys. This will surely loosen those tight muscles and over worked fascia. My favorite mode is to place the lacrosse ball between your back and a wall and just move up and down til you find a knot or tender spot and just work it out. DONT FORGET TO BREATHE!!!!!!!!! It may hurt a little but TRUST ME this will help break down those naughty knots. ENJOY!!!!Read more

The balls are VERY HARD, so be aware of that. They work great for getting into those hard-to-reach muscles in your lower back. I think they take some getting used to, and you have to play around with them at first to find how they work best for your body. I mainly use the peanut for spots along my thorasic spine, and have had no issues with it applying any pressure on my spine. I have a very arched low back, and cant feel anything when I lay flat on my back with the peanut underneath-so I find it helpful to lift my knees towards my chest to get the back to flatten out a bit. I dont know if that is recomended….so talk to someone you know and trust to help you with medical advice…there are precious organs in your body afterall…. My philosophy is that doctors are all (highly) educated guessers, and dont always have the answers (espicially when it comes to YOUR body. So listen to your body, do it if it feels good STOP if it doesn’t-espicially when using balls as hard as these. You could easily injur yourself. Oh ant the spikey ball….its virtually useless (in my opinion). It doesnt relieve anything, and frankly makes my feet feel very itchy afterwards (it kind of just “tickles” the nerves” The set comes with a carrying bag and folded “instruction” sheet, but its extremely vague. Id look up some techniques and uses online if you need guidance. Hope that helps!Read more

This product (for me) makes my foam roller obsolete. The simple design is perfection. So many products make the surface area, extremely aggressive (bumps or spiky areas) touting to get between specific targeted areas. I think the less aggressive, flatter surface allows you to better feel the targeted area. I love the firmness. I wish this company offered the exact same ball in a larger size, with the firmness, instead of medium firmness. This ball is utterly amazing! As soon as you made contact with the surface, you can feel the knots in your muscles. Exactly what it is supposed to target. Added benefit: core work out as well (holding yourself up, while rolling). I love this product! It’s made well & will probably provide long service of muscle relief. I highly recommend this quality product.Read more

Good variety. I like the stimulation of the knobby ball and I like the way the double balls work over the spine. The smooth single ball is a good alternative to the knobby ball for those who might be too sensitive for the pointed knobs but I like the knobs, they are a little rough but satisfying. My dog seems to love these balls. When he sees me take my balls out, he wants to chew on them so the included ball sack is great. I just hang the ball sack up out of his reach. So if you have a dog that loves balls you’ll definitely want to keep your balls tucked away in the sack.Read more
