I’m very pleased with these grow bags. The material is stronger and firmer than I expected. They hold their shape very well. They don’t bow out or slump over even when filled to the top with soil. The handles are attached very securely, but I haven’t tried moving them when full – they hold a lot of dirt. I’m using them mainly for tomatoes. I’m surprised how well they keep the soil moist. I feared the material would wick away the water and dry out the soil, but I am able to go about a week between watering. Last year I used plastic bags with holes in the bottom, and they dried out very fast. I liked these so much I ordered a second set!Read more

Very cheap bags. What i plan to use it for is seeding before summer comes. We have short summer time here so i want to have it ready when summer hits. These bags are thick. I wouldn’t say it is 100% waterproof. I have tested them and they don’t leak, but if you are going to pour water in there it will leak. Put enough water for the amount of soil. It is a great idea to have handles on them. Handles make carrying them in and out so much easier. Are you into planting? This is a must have item. I just started planting and this makes it easier for me from where i live.Read more

Product arrived on time. Sturdy fabric w quality reinforced stitching. Machine tight bindings. A full One (1) ft or 12-inches high w a diameter if 15-inches. Plenty of room to transplant a smaller plant footprint. Massive volume 12 in x 15 in x 15 in if a square cube. A little more volume if rounded. Sturdy handles. Only lift when the Coco coir is dry! Cavernous!Read more

I have these bags for my tomato plants, which have a drip tray underneath. The problem I found with these bags is the black dye used for these bags runs. My drip trays are completely fill with black water after watering. They have even turned a couple leaves black. I have to repot my plants, they are still small, so hoping the won’t go into shock. I previously purchased Best Root Pouch bags that work perfect, but was looking for something smaller, sadly I will have to send these back.Read more

The quality seems very good. The bottom and side seams had two rows of stitches and seem sturdy. Came with 10 green plant tags. The only complaint is that I ordered a 10 pack and only got 9. I did see a couple of other reviews that mentioned only getting 9 as well so this is not a completely isolated event. If these end up working out well for me and whatever I plant in it, I would consider ordering again despite the missing bag Update – ordered another set of the gallon bags. Actually got 10 this time but the fabric was different. The first time the bags were really soft but this time the material did not feel as nice. The last picture has the new bag on top and the old bag on bottom, I’m not sure the photo can capture the difference in texture. Also I did not get any plant tags this time. If I could do half stars I would drop the rating a bit for lack of quality control and an inconsistent product.Read more

Review edit: After using these for a season, I’m not likely to use them again. Pros: They’re holding up very well, very durable. I had issues with mold growing on the outside of some them which was easily taken care of with neem once and never returned. They are super easy to move around when needed. The reason I won’t use them next season: they drain too much water. A lot of the plants have very shallow roots and I was finding that I had to water some of them twice a day. I lost a few plants while away for two weeks even though I had someone watering daily; it wasn’t enough. Much of the water flows down around the sides and drains right out of the mesh. It also occurred to me that during the day water will evaporate from the soil through the mesh much more readily than it would from traditional terra cotta, plastic, or wood planters. And since none of the plants I put in the garden bed at the same time are having any water uptake or rooting issues (same soil/fertilizer mix has yielded 8’ sunflowers that aren’t uprooting or wilting, crazy amounts of basil, and more that are water sensitive), I can only attribute it to the pots’ inability to retain any water. In conclusion, the only way I would be able to use these again successfully would be to set up a watering system with funnels to get water directly down into the center of the pot to allow it to spread from there and not leave home for more than a couple days during growing season. Product was as described. They don’t LOOK like 5 gallon planters if you’re thinking of the buckets you get from the hardware store. I compared the two; these are shorter than the plastic buckets by a good 2-3 inches, but they are a couple inches wider around and they seem to hold more than what I calculated for 5 gallons worth of soil. Plants and seeds are planted, we’ll see how they do through the season.Read more

These bags do not drain water properly and my tomatoes are suffering from it. Previous brand bags I have, when you’d deep water there would be much more water drain from the bottom of the bags. I still use a few of my old bags and side by side these drain noticeably less. The bags are very sturdy however.Read more

These are great. When not in use , I’m not stuck with large pots to find storage for. I like growing veggies on the porch, so these are perfect for what I was looking for. The handles are a great add to the bags. No sliding. just pick it with the handles and move as you need. Can even use these to roll towels and put them in a bag for a nice bathroom or spare room disply.Read more

I bought these to restart canna lily roots that I had overwintered and was looking for an alternative to plastic pots. I was able to plant 3 smallish roots in each and expect them to be of sufficient size for the cannas to grow into until I am able to plant them outside. They seem durable enough and I expect I will be able to use them for several growing seasons.Read more
