This 12mm wide label tape prints black on clear and is designed to work with various models of the Brother label makers. Check the description to verify compatibility. I have the PTD600 which will print a multitude of colors and widths up to 24mm (approx 1″). This tape works perfectly with my machine and I like that the backing is pre-split to allow for easier peeling. The quality appears consistent with the Brother brand labels. Like many tapes for these machines, they use heat to burn the image/text into the tape so it won’t smudge and is very durable. This tape prints very sharp images and text, cuts perfectly and sticks very well compared with other tapes I’ve used. I think the clear has its uses for many applications that are clear or have a light background. As the text is always black, it won’t show up well on darker objects or clear containers with dark contents. I am evaluating the 12mm wide tape which is great for smaller labels but I generally prefer to use the large width tapes. Your application will determine the best width to use but I have dozens of things that this tape will work great on. Highly recommended!Read more

I use a lot of labels. It is one of my “retirement hobbies” to label all the boxes and containers in the home. These work well and look good in places where the standard black print on white tape would not look so good. For instance, I have put some of these clear backed labels on my scanner to supplement the pictograms that describe some of the button functions for my wife, who does not appreciate vague picture references on her tech. They look good, stick well and do not jam my Brother PT-P700 desktop printer. They also cut well with the built in cutter and the backing separates where and when it is supposed to, unlike some aftermarket labels. These are a good buy.Read more
