Works right out of the gate. 10′ was sucked up like a vacuum by other Quest users, but since I do mainly sit down VR, 6′ is enough. Eventually, I’ll get the official one. The anker works like a charm, and turns your mobile Quest into a full fledged PC VR system, given Questers the best of both worlds. Not the same exact fidelity as a Rift S (which I also have) but pretty flipping close, and it’s only in beta as I type this.Read more

So here’s the thing, I bought this USB-C charger cable THREE YEARS AGO. Recently, the plug itself got bended by accident and I was bummed (who wouldn’t?) that I’d have to buy another to replace this one that I’ve used as my go-to charger anywhere in the house. I especially loved that the cable does not break easily. Background: I have changed all my powerbanks, chargers, USB cables to Anker after I bought this charging cable. They may be expensive but for me it’s money well spent. AFAIK none of my previous powerbanks work now to be honest, like they died.. I charged three of my previous powerbanks all day and the light indicator either doesn’t go past 1 or doesn’t light at all. The cables I had before? Threw them away. They can’t find the gadget I’m trying to charge, if it does it won’t charge the battery even if it’s been plugged for a day. Those were big waste of money! As I was browsing Amazon before purchasing this before, I remember reading a lifetime warranty about their products. So I thought about it if I should message them about my problem but I wasn’t expecting any feedback since three years have passed for this purchase. I assume the “no return, no exchange” policy is implemented after 6-12 months. I sent in my message to them explaining what happened with the cable, plus these photos to illustrate the problem, with no expectations of hearing back. After a few days, I received a reply from them asking for photos for proof, order number, serial number and shipping information Surprisingly, they approved and I was granted a replacement for my broken 3-year old Anker 6m USB-C power cable. Thank you, Anker! Sorry this will sound naive but I am surprised that warranty services like this actually exist. Props to Anker (and to Celine for assisting me throughout) for holding on to that warranty service promise!!Read more

The quality of the cable itself is good but it tends to curl up on itself which causes me problems. I have to keep pulling on it to straighten it to it’s full length which tends to pull it out of the USB wall charger. Because of a back issue, having to keep getting up and fixing the plug isn’t enjoyable. I bought the 6ft especially because of the freedom of movement the length would give me. This kind of nullifies that freedom. UPDATE 3/27/2017 Anker stepped up to help my poor crippled behind. I was sent an updated braided version of the cable and this one works flawlessly. I’d like to thank Anker for reaching out so quickly and getting this resolved for me. It may not seem like a big deal but, with a back as bad as mine, having to crawl on your hands and knees to fix a simple USB cable at least a few times a week isn’t what I would call enjoyable. Thanks again Anker. Original review: 3 stars Updated review: 5 starsRead more

At first I thought I had a faulty cable, as it would only register as fast charging some of the time, so I contacted customer support via email. I researched some on the internet after standing the email and found a common problem with type c connections on phones is compacted pocket lint not allowing the connector to fully seat. The next day Anker replies to my email offering to replace or refund my purchase with virtually no hassle. After cleaning the usb port on my phone this cable has worked flawlessly and kudos to Anker for such a quick and courteous response to my question.Read more

This is how amazing Anker is and why I’m a customer for life now. I bought this after buying my new Sony Xperia XZ smartphone and needed a longer cord for charging while in the house lounging in my living room. Like most people you set the phone on your stomach or chest when using so the cord bends to the left or right, and I noticed after a couple of months the protective covering at the connector head was coming off exposing the wiring. I originally wanted to buy Anker’s Braided Nylon USB C 3.0 cable, but at the time of this purchase it wasn’t available in 6 feet, so I bought this one. I emailed their customer support about this issue fully expecting to be told ‘sorry, that’s life, deal with it’ but instead I got ‘we’re happy to refund you for the product or replace it.’ Thinking i wouldn’t get them to replace it with the braided cord, the one i originally wanted, I asked anyway and to my surprise was told yes, that wouldn’t be a problem. Gave them my information to send the broken cables back, and received BRAND NEW, not used or refurbished, Anker Braided Nylon USB C 3.0 cables a few days later. Cost me nothing and was handled in less than a few days from start to finish. That’s how you make a customer for life. You don’t belittle the situation or nitpick, you just make it right. Couldn’t be happier with my cables and plan to buy from them for all my charging and battery needs from here on out.Read more

I was using google’s cables that came with my pixel phones to connect to my car for android auto and kept getting disconnects. Thought it was the car, but I noticed how loose google’s cables are compared to a usb c car charger I’d bought a while back. I tried out this cable to see if it would fit better and it did. This definitely feels like it snaps into place when plugged in vs google’s cables.Read more

Read more

Those of you with Oculus Quest headsets looking to purchase a capable USB-C to USB 3.0 cable to allow your powerful gaming PC to render your VR games, look no further. This is the cable for you. HOWEVER, please note that this cable is only 3 feet in length and you will need an extension cable if you buy this. The extension cable would need to be USB 3.0 to USB 3.0 (male to female). I purchased ‘Cable Matters USB to USB Extension Cable (USB 3.0 Extension Cable / USB 3 Extension Cable), Black, 3m’ for £7.49 and that did the trick. Once you’ve connected your Quest up to your PC, everything changes. You’ll get the home menu and game selection of the Rift, and games look so much better. Enjoy!Read more

Perfect, and one of the few cables I have tried with my oculus quest to link it to my pc that actually worked. This cable is recommended by oculus for that reason and should do the trick until the official cable is releasedRead more

I recently bought a new phone (Samsung A5 2017) which has a USB C socket. Having decided that a backup charger would be sensible (when you had fast charging you are unlikely to want “slow” charging”) and I decided to get a spare cable too. The charger with the phone is actually USB to USB C (not C to C) so I looked around at the large variety of apparently suitable cables including some noticeably more expensive than this one. When it arrived I put it in the Samsung charger and onto the phone and it worked. I’ve also used the cable with a third party charger and a powerbank – worked find in both cases. I do realise that all cables are not the same however this one feels like a quality cable (and usefully has a velcro strap to keep it tidy) so I’m happy – I’ll update this if there are any issues.Read more

Very simple unboxing procedure, as it always is with Anker products, this is PowerLine, the finish and quality of these products is second to none, I have many cables for USB-C, lightning, Micro USB, from many manufacturers and original cables, for my galaxy s6 and 6P. The quality of these surpasses them all. As you will see in my picture, the cable is held in place by two velcro straps, that actually wrap around an individual cable with a smaller velcro piece so they do not fall off in daily use, I am saying velcro but I strongly believe it is something else and it is much more efficient than velcro, there is no sound and it secures it better. I already have a few of these from Anker and I can honestly say it also holds up better. The fact that they put thought into the ‘thing’ that they use to hold their cables together and it is of such high quality whilst other manufacturers use those twisty plastic things or nothing, allows me to place even more faith and respect into Anker for the quality they provide Obviously, this is for anyone with a USB-C device, the 6ft cable, which I have is perfect for you if you like to sit on your bed and have it trail to the power outlet, general users and specifically if like me you are a stickler for cable management and like having a clean desktop this will reach around and make it very easy without you having to worry about damaging, snagging or trapping the cable, its PowerLine people, I don’t think I will every say goodbye to my PowerLine cables. Overall, I am very happy with this product, it is presented simply, I hope to see a braided version in the future, hopefully, a different colour to PowerLine+ Micro USB and Lightning so it is easy to differentiate between them all, perhaps PowerLine+ USB-C? I would recommend this product to anyone who needed one, every time! Do not let this deter you but, I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation, I will be sending it back as I do already have one and I actually accidentally chose this for review, but even if I didn’t, this review would be and is, honest.Read more
