This genuine Aprilaire replacement water panel is the backbone of your Aprilaire humidifier. The heavy-duty aluminum mesh frame holds its shape over the life of the water panel as the porous ceramic-type coating absorbs water and maintains the proper level of hydration to support the evaporation process. Water is vaporized as air warmed by the furnace passes over the water panel. The humidified air is carried through the house through the air ducts. Water Panel Evaporators are the heart of your humidifier and the component which generates the important humidity to keep you comfortable during the heating season. The water panel slides into the scale control insert and the water distribution tray sits across the top of the panel.

Ordered, received quickly, all sealed box and it still looks weird? YESSS They will look “USED” but are not, I ordered 3 and thought I was getting scammed as well! So I asked them directly and got this response: “Sorry there is so much confusion about this. Yes the coating you see is actually a clay slurry that is applied to the panel to help retain the humidity on the panel longer thus allowing a more absorbent surface.” So have no worries, great price, great product and great customer service.Read more

These filters are slightly smaller than the OEM versions. Which means, you have to be careful when sliding them in to prevent them from falling out of place. It also likely means they aren’t as efficient as the OEM versions as air has the opportunity to go around rather than through the filter. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I was short on money at the time and a cheap filter was better than no filter. I wouldn’t recommend them as the best choice.Read more

Brand new these panels look used because of the chalky coating built-up on the mesh. This coating is needed for the filter to function correctly. Easy to replace, 100% OEM. Great deal!Read more

I purchased these AprilAire filters every couple of years. Last year I purchased a box, used one, and set the second one aside for this season. I tried to use the second filter yesterday and the second filter is too small and will not fit my 500 Aprilaire humidifier. I am very glad I had the sense to buy a box couple of months ago to have on hand so I had to use one from the new box. This water pad fits the humidifier that’s installed in my home furnace and it’s very easy to use. I have used the Aprilaire brand for many years. I’ve noticed that by adding humidity inside the house, not only is the furnace working more efficiently and also helps me to avoid extra dry winter skin. Highly recommend.Read more

I ordered these a while ago and the return date has closed. I didn’t open it until I needed to change the water panel for the winter season and find that both panels have a large dent in the side of the panel. Not sure if this will effect the humidifier or not but not sure I want to chance it.Read more
