First off the seller did an awesome job with customer service. They really took good care of us and were on the ball. The product itself could be so much better than it is. The main issue is the hand pump itself. There appears to be some issue in the manufacturing where they are not getting the pumps cleaned out properly after machining the parts. If you take apart a new pump you will find large metal fragments inside. If these fragments are not removed prior to first use they will get between the body of the pump and the rotating assembly causing a binding and damage to the housing. The product would benefit from a pump with a better design. Also the tube the pump mounts to is an odd size with an odd thread pitch. This limits any use of aftermarket pumps that can be used to replace the factory pump, which is nearly impossible to find on it’s own. It would be better if the pipe size and threading were in line with other pumps so that the customer can chance the pump out once the unit is out of warranty. If you are getting this fuel caddy, It’s not a bad product, but it does suffer from a poorly designed pump with manufacturing issues. I would recommend prior to the first use, open the pump and clean out any metal debris, using a fine emery and go over any sharp edges inside the pump housing. Once that is done whip down the inside surface and lightly oil inside then reassemble. Use caution when reassembling so that you do not damage the o-ring seal. Retorque the housing bolts and as an added precaution use an automotive rtv sealer on the outside of the pump to prevent leaks. Once you’ve assembled the rest of the unit as per instructions and you’ve filled it with whatever fluid you chose, turn the handle slow and steadily. If any binding is felt STOP. Slowly turn the handle back a little then try again. DO NOT FORCE it. If it happens again, remove pump and inspect the inside for more debris and repeat. So far our second unit is working fine after doing the above. Everything else on the unit is fine. the wheels move smoothly, the tank itself is solid (being used indoors) and the gauge is working fine. Hope this helpsRead more

I have two similar products for gas from another manufacturer. They work great. Not so much with this product. The two hex nuts that hold the “feet” on one side were not perpendicular and it proved impossible to secure that side with both hex nuts. Hope the one nut holds up. The wheel hubs do not secure properly in the threaded receptacles. No matter how much torque you put on it, when you go to secure the hex not to affix the wheel to the hub, it starts to unwind at the receptacle (probably make the wheel fall off at some point making it less than portable). The handle holes did not align. Had to drill out the opening to get the bolt through even after keeping it loose. The instructions are purely insufficient for a first time installer. I have 2 other brands so knew that the lock nut (part “F”) had to be put on prior to installing the pump. Part “F” is nowhere on the instructions. For the pump to work right and the gauge to work right you have to use teflon tape which was supplied (too wide for some areas) but never mentioned in the instructions. The instructions have several things that just highlight how poor their quality control is (“Please must be in correct position before turning to avoid to damage thread.”). The paint was not applied properly and there was some exposed metal (can’t wait for that to rust so will be using some good old Rust- Oleum). Finally, it was shipped with no filter (part “M”). So I have that going for me too. In short, this is a terrible product for the price. Poor quality control and poorly designed. Do not waste your money.Read more

Pump has a crack in the housing which was not noticed until I started to pump fuel. I was sprayed with fuel before realizing why. Pump is junk. Understand it’s made in China which is has a patent on crap products but why would an American company put their name on it????Read more

Poor quality control: one foot pad won’t fit, bolts don’t line up with holes. three wheel bearings very rough, like internal rust or sand in them, the other wheel bearing wouldn’t turn at all. Excess paint on axles, wheels wouldn’t go on until paint was sanded off. Welds look rough, hope they don’t leak (haven’t filled with fuel yet). Fill opening cap has fine threads, easy to cross when re-installing cap. Haven’t tried pump yet.Read more
