These little lights are amazing! They are independent rechargeable lights. They come with a little magnet adhesive / sticker, which you can place on any flat surface, or you can place the light on any magnetic surface without the sticker. Since they are rechargeable, the magnet is perfect because you are able to remove, recharge, which takes about 2 hours, then place back in the same exact spot you had it… or put in a different location! I had way too much fun deciding where to put these! A single charge, on low mode, can last up to 6 months. On high mode, the charge is about 3 months. Keep the charging cord in a safe, rememberable, location! The LED light itself, is a nice, gentle, warm white (yellow). For me, it doesn’t bother my eyes when I wake up in the middle of the night and move around. The photo I uploaded took a lot of focusing – on the inside, there 3 LED lights that look like they are pointing to the left, center, and right, so the light is evenly dispersed. I also have the version of this light that you plug into the wall socket. One difference is that the rechargeable version, light stays on for about 20 seconds, whereas the one for the socket, stays lit for 1 minute. Or rather, turns off 20 / 60 seconds after motion has stopped. Highly recommend the Avon LED lights if you’re in the market for a great light!Read more

If not for mounting issues (more later), I have no problems with these lights. Brightness is what it should be for a night light – you want enough light to see where you’re going, yet not so much that it blows out your night adapted vision. Sensitivity to motion was quite sufficient. The photocell that keeps it off during daylight, it was a tad on the over sensitive side, meaning that while it ignores motion in daylight, it will sometimes come on upon detecting motion when there’s a small amount of ambient light…not a problem, but worth mentioning. Adding a sensitivity control would be nice, but that adds to the cost. I haven’t measured how long you get on a single charge, but I’ve had it for a few weeks and it’s still going strong. The USB charging is very convenient. Note that you can also charge by connecting to one of those portable power banks. Finally, mounting. The best situation would be if you can stand it up on a table, shelf, or ledge. It stands up nicely. The magnet is a great idea, but the one here is very weak – I tried to attach it to the side of the refrigerator, but it wouldn’t stay on. The little peel-n’-stick metal plate that comes with it sticks pretty well to drywall, but not to the light…because of the weak magnet. While it really needs a stronger magnet, at a minimum, it could use a little hanging hole in the back.Read more

2-2021: I ordered a set of these (2 in a set) a couple years back and liked them so well I ordered another set of 2. The originals still work well but I needed a few more so I ordered the 4 pack to save some money. Oh my! Someone must have put them in the dryer on high because they are now much smaller! I can’t speak to battery life but the originals only need charged every 5-6 months. These are smaller so probably have a smaller battery so time will tell how long they hold a charge. They seem to be about as bright as the originals. I am some what disappointed because Amazon showed that I was orderering the same item yet they are obviously not the same. I think the seller should have mentioned the size change, I update my reviews usually after 5-6 months so check back.Read more

This is a superb product that performs exactly as described by the seller. These lights provide sufficient lighting for closets and other small areas, and are well designed to optimally conserve power consumption. What makes these lights particularly attractive compared to other comparable products (e.g. those sold by Mr. Beams) is 1. The use of rechargeable Li battery rather than alkaline batteries requiring replacement and 2. The number of options in operating mode (on/off/auto-motion triggered) and light intensity (hi/lo). In addition to product quality, my 5-star rating also reflects the superb customer service that this seller provides. This motion sensor light is small but actually emits a a good amount of light. Love the dimming button feature and the fact you have the choice to turn it on (continuous on), off, or set to Auto…which easily picks up movement. I’m also thrilled that it can be re-charged via USB cord and not have to keep buying batteries for it, which I have to do for another motion sensor light I purchased previously. I bought this for my senior dog to navigate her way around my small home at night because I have to keep my Hunter-Douglas Luminette slats open for my plants during the daytime — can’t see in with daylight outside — but at night a light on inside my home allows those outside to see in…a security issue. This small motion sensor light is the perfect solution since it only casts light where you want it to (for my home, from my couch casting light along the floor) and turns off with plenty of time for my dog to pass by. Can also hang low on a wall via small magnetic panel on which the light cradles (sticky back to the panel) or just leave it free standing. Light isn’t a blinding white but, rather, a soft white. I ordered the 4 pack, and love these lights!Read more
