The quality is fantastic made of sturdy material that can hold back a 90 lbs pit-bull that pulls you for miles. Not only is the quality great, but also it is reflective which makes this perfect for nighttime walking. The handle is comfortable to grip no rope burns from all the pulling my dog does. The price was absolutely out of this word 2 leashes essentially for the price of 1. I was able to match her lease to the color of her harness with all the color selections that are offered. I have a 140lb Rottweiler and I did not comment on chew proof because the leash belongs to me. The ease of holding the leash is what one makes of it. I for one do not use handles on any leash because I work dogs for a living and was taught differently because of other things that I must be able to do. I use a bind method to hold leashes. A simple flip and the dog is on target and pistol is in hand. Now as far as sturdiness, I have had this leash for a few months now. It is used daily and is fully capable of keeping any dog under the control of the handler. I would suspect that breaking strength is somewhere well north of 500lbs. I have been able to bring my Rott off a six-foot lung and command easily with the leash. In trials, my Rott has been able to generate takedown forces greater than 600lbs with a bite force of 3200psi. What I do not like is black anodized clips that within two months are now displaying as just that; Anodized and shiny. Outside of that, I have no fault with the leash and for the cost vs a good leather rig, one can only hope.Read more

When I first got the leashes, I was worried about the joints and hardware due to the fact that my 90lb pitbull constantly pulls on a walk. After a month of using it, the leash seems like new and is still sturdy. I gave the leash a 4 star rating due to the length. The rope may be about 5ft, but it stretches quite a bit and your dog ends up being close to double that length away. I put a few knots in the rope to prevent that distance because it is easier to control a pulling dog with a shorter leash. It might not be a problem if you have a dog that walks correctly on a leash or one that is not as strong as a pit.Read more

After first seeing similar leashes on Facebook ads, I found these on Amazon for a fraction of the price. I got the two-pack because Boomer already chewed through two nylon leashes, and I don’t expect anything to last forever. These look and feel great! Color and quality are better than expected. From the padded handle to the bindings to the solid clip, this thing says quality. The leash has a small bit of stretch/give to make things a bit easier when he pulls against it. The rope is a bit stiffer than I expected, and I didn’t like it at first, but that makes it harder for my pup to step over and get tangled. When he does, it is easier to swing it around to untangle him. I like things that are easier. He doesn’t seem as tempted to chew on this leash so far, so I may not get to test that aspect of it.
