Used this for the first time today so I can’t comment on how long it lasts yet. Love the colors though! I did not realize that gel can stay tacky on the nail even after curing so I thought something was wrong with the polish after curing it for at least 3 minutes. I was getting pissed off, so finally my stubborn self googled the issue and i found that if you wipe over the nail with an alcohol-soaked lint-free cloth/paper towel (at least 90% alcohol) when you’re completely done (AFTER you apply and cure top coat), it’ll become smooth and hard. Just wanted to share in case someone (a beginner and non-professional like me) had the same issue and thought the polish wasn’t curing!Read more

Tea Party set- Colors were on point except the one color I actually got the set for which was the dark brown looking one. Colors applied well, opaque, intend to return because I need a dark brown which in this set is actually a dark red Berry Merlot set- Color accuracy isn’t great for this one. I was really hoping for a dark, dark brown like it does but ended up with a mid tone I already have multiple colors close to, and the deep berry purple actually looks more like the one that shows as a cooler dark. Anyway, view photo for comparison. Applied nicely, Opaque, can’t speak to wear because I intend to return them.Read more

Big fan of Beetles polishes but not a fan of them removing their shade labels. They now include stickers for you to do it yourself but then you’d cover up the shade number? Not sure why they’d do this but it’s not a huge deal since I used swatch sticks. I can see how this would be disappointing to someone who just wants to look at the bottle to know what color it is. Overall a nice neutral shade range though! They’re a little lighter in real life than the photo I included. The darkest color is charcoal grey with some slight slate blue in there. These are nice but out of the two set that I have, this is my least favorite. The two last (darkest) color are actually very sheer, more like a jelly polish. In my photo, it might look like those two are opaque but I had to really maneuver the polish so it wouldn’t come out streaky. I also want to point out for everyone that the lightest color is more like and off-white cement color. Over all my favorite colors are the 2nd/3rd polish :)Read more

I love these gel polishes! They are so good you only need like one coat! But if you want it a more opaque color two but even then on good is pretty full coverage! The price is really good for 6 polishes as well! In the picture I wanted to try most of the colors so I did a v smile! Definitely recommend!Read more

These are great colors to have and a must have for the basics. I love the greys for a nice background color when I want a simple elegant nail and spice it up with some nail art. I used a combination of these grey polishes with white and black to creat a marbles effect. I’m a beginner and so far Beetles polish is all that I use, and I will continue to use them. My polish lasts on my nails for as long as I decide to keep them on. I don’t have to worry about them chipping. They’re nice and thick but you can easily apply thin layers.Read more

Beetles has become my favorite gel polish brand. My manicures last until I take them off with a drill and magic gel remover – I left my last manicure on for over three weeks. Polish held up fine but my exposed nail was out of control. Tips: beetles polish doesn’t seem to work well with my earlier brand’s top and base coat. The manicure would just peel off. I nearly swore off beetles entirely but decided to give them an honest try by buying their base and top coat. It makes a MASSIVE difference in the polish integrity! Prep your nails thoroughly before polishing. Push the cuticles back and rub 100% acetone over the entire nail surface to make sure it’s dried out. Beetles polish takes about 90 seconds to cure. I was using the lamp that came with my first gel polish kit years ago that only works 30 seconds at a time, so I had to use it three times per coat. Lamps may also be too powerful/not powerful enough for different brands of polish, resulting in heat spikes or tacky uncured polish. After eight or nine manicures I just bought the beetles lamp and I love it. No more heat spikes and it has a 90 second button.
