Installed these rear pads on a 2012 Nissan Murano SL 2 weeks ago. Great stopping power and no noise at all when used with new Bosch Quietcast ceramic rotors. I bought new Bosch Quietcast rotors and Quietcast ceramic pads to replace the 5 year old OEM Nissan originals that were worn down to 4/32″ of material and only had 33k miles on them. I would recommend having ratcheting wrenches (14mm for the slide pins and 19mm or 3/4″ for the caliper bracket) handy for the rear pads on Muranos. It makes the job much easier. Special Notes for Pad Installation: When installing pads in northern or salt air climates, always be sure to wire brush slide pins, bolts, and caliper brackets. Anti-seize all bolt threads (except wheel hub threads) and lube caliper slide pins before re-installation. Always use Synthetic Brake Lube on the pad clip area of the caliper bracket after wire-brushing it. Always smear the included pad backing lube on the backs of new pads before installing them in the caliper bracket. After bolting your caliper back onto its bracket, Re-install your wheels and torque to 80-85 ft-lbs using a torque wrench. Nissan spec for Muranos are 73-93 Ft-Lbs, so I chose a number in the middle for safety. Re-check torque on all wheels removed after 50 miles of driving. Performing the steps above should eliminate the possibility of brake squeal and ensure trouble free operation… Not to mention.. save you alot of money.

I’m redoing my review and bumping from one star to three. I’m still annoyed that these pads only come with one pad that has a wear tab on it (as opposed to two, one for each side—see the picture for the one with the wear tab attached), but I gather now that’s not unusual with non-OEM pads, or at least at this price point. It’s still very annoying, because the wear tab couldn’t cost a nickel to add, or maybe a dime. I’d pay the dime to get one. But the pads work fine so far. I went through a whole rigamarole having them send me a new set because I initially thought the wear tab thing was an error on the set I got, but, no, both boxes they sent have only one pad with a wear tab (it fits on the passenger inner for my 2017 Altima), so the driver side gets no wear tab. Not a huge deal, but since I am not a pro, I had to really look into it all to make sure that missing a tab would not cause the pad to seat improperly. That doesn’t appear to be the case. Anyhoodles, the pads work fine. The front set I also bough were pretty tough to install on the inner side (took about a dozen times trying to align it properly, then tap-tap-tap with the old pad to get it to seat all the way), but once it was installed, it works fine. It’s only been a few days, so if I have any problems, I’ll update this. I never give five stars right away, only coming back later to bump stuff up, but that’s not going to happen due to their cheaping out on the wear tab. But if everything goes well, then maybe I come back and bump this up to four stars.Read more

Entered car info from Amazon–selected from displayed items–Wrong size arrived! I suspect, I may have accidentally clicked on a sponsored item in the listings. Lesson learned–go to the brake manufacturer’s site and get correct model number and reorder this item. This item appears similar to OEM with two exceptions: 1) OEM had worn brakes indicators on both inside pads(2 out of 4). Only 1 out of four in this package had a wear indicator. 2) Severe material cutout of both leading and trailing edges of all pads significantly reduced brake contact area. This decreases braking performance and life. I have often dulled the edges of pads, but this was severe removal of material on the pads as delivered–far more than amount needed for silencing the brake pads.Read more

It’s been over 3 years since I installed this pads, it’s fair to do a review. I average around 7000 mi a year so I put about 20000 mi on this pads. The first thing I noticed was that the pads didn’t leave any marks on the rotor. That’s a good news because I didn’t had to change rotors. For the price and 3 years of usage, it’s excellent. One thing though. It creates fair amount of dust on the wheel. I can leave with that.Read more

Notice that 8 clips are included but all 8 are not the same (not as shown in the listing) . 4 are wider and 4 are standard rear clips. Appears that there might be 2 different styles of calipers. Manufacturer doesn’t explain this. These should be separately bagged and properly labeled. Don’t use the wrong ones! This is critical and a potential hazard should you overlook this detail. 2008 uses the smaller clips. The pads are fantastic with instant break-in. Will buy again. Manufactured in Mexico.Read more

Its Bosch. Its top quality. Its priced excellent. Wrote this in May 2020. Now it is Nov. 2021. I put summer tires on our car, 2015 Rogue, back in April 2021, so the brakes weren’t even a year old. Also, we don’t drive a lot and we had only put 15,000 km. When we do drive about 75% is highway miles. (Note, I was a professional truck driver for 40 years so I don’t ride the brakes nor use them excessively.) At the time of getting the new tires the tire shop told me I needed new brakes – “All around”. Well I new the fronts were getting down they were original since we bough the care in Jan. 2016. So, 4 years on the rear brakes and 5 years on the front brakes ‘original equipment’. This week I went to my shop for regular service and oil change, MEINEKE in Kithener. I asked “My Guy Bob” to check the rear brakes. He told me the rear brakes, Bosch, were way down to only 2mm left on the pads!!!!! That is next to metal on metal!!! 25,000 km/18,000 miles approx. and the brakes are shot. I said to Bob, “But they are BOSCH, matched, pads and rotors”. He said he has seen a lot of issues with Bosch over the past while. I would have to rate these as a miserable fail. Believe me, for those that read my reviews, I am generous, if I get a quality product at a good or competitive price, I give rave reviews. I will now order another set of pads and rotors but they will absolutely not be Bosch. I will go with the ones I ordered for the front back in the Spring 2021. Sorry, NO BOSCH for me!!!!Read more

Fits 2013 Nissan Altima. For some reason, there have been inconsistent contents with what comes in the box as per other reviews. What I received came with 2 pairs of pads for both rear wheels. Only one pad had the wear indicator which is strange as compared to the same Bosch front pads that have the wear indicator for all 4 pads. Mine also came with the small lubricant packet (other reviewers said they did not have this) but it was punctured by the included hardware so it was a mess inside the box. After cleaning and installing the pads, works good though. Bought this from Amazon because my local store sell it for much more but i guess you get some inconsistency in the contents.Read more

Overall a good set of pads at a fair price. I do get some minor squealing from the back though and this is why they loose one star. Factory were quieter but only lasted 40,000 km. Will see how long these last. They fit well with no issues unlike some of the cheaper models you can get, a bonus is a set of inserts!Read more
