I have to admit that after putting this together I’m really disappointed about the description of the product as it lured me in rather than going with one of the other many portable music stands on amazon. I bought this one because it supposedly showcased its sturdiness, it extended to a good height for a singer who is tall and had a solid back. I would like to use this during performances and I think the ones with holes look silly on stage for singers at least Pros easy to assemble looks nice Cons – the knobs to put it together wrecked my hands trying to get them tight enough for this to be sturdy – stand is not sturdy at all – stand wobbles, and the portion to hold music is easily bent. Stand wobbles less the shorter it goes, but I am tall and sing so I can’t be looking too far down each time. Also the only way this gets to 57 inches is if it is at it’s max lines on the poles and the book portion is completely upright. The photo in the description is completely wrong – I tried to put my music on it and the stand just swayed back and forth, gently tried my laptop the same thing. I barely trust it for music let alone my laptop – the free gift is the worst music book I’ve ever seen, why even include it in all honesty. It doesn’t close and really doesn’t stay open either. because it’s free I shouldn’t be so hard on this folder but I’m pretty irritated at everything included in this packageRead more

I’m very happy with this. I have a stand in my office but hated taking it down to the basement so I decided to get a new stand for the basement. Thinking about replacing the one in my office as well. Pros: – light – easy to assemble – solid back supports loose sheets – springs hold booms open (best feature ever) – comes with sheet music holder which is nicer than I expected – good range of height adjustment so I can use it sitting and standing – easy to adjust Cons – thin metal rods. I have concerns over longevity. – thin metal holder with minimal rolled edges. I have concerns about real world wear if packing it from gig to gig. For a spare practice stand or even a primary stand that doesn’t move around or receive abuse, I think this is great. It ticks boxes I didn’t even know I had. However, I wouldn’t use this where it might be abused. Often equipment like this gets banged up and this doesn’t seem like it would handle that well.Read more

Metal shavings everywhere. My husband got some in his fingers. The top part that holds the music absolutely will not clamp in no matter how hard you tighten the screw. Shoddy workmanship. Flimsy construction. I have NO idea what this get 4.3 stars. I wish I could give this a 0 star. Unless I got a defective one, don’t buy this. Goes to show, you get what you pay for.Read more

Wanted something that would collapse down super low. Also wanted something that I could put on my bed, a coffee table, or floor while practicing. Went with this brand over others cuz they were clear about the dimensions, how to assemble and disassemble, and their marketing made me confident about the product. I also like how the desktop stand has a short leg so it fits on tables that aren’t deep. Would have given it 5 stars but one tube is damaged which makes it tough to fully collapse or extend as it gets stuck. Has instructions which are too tiny to read, but not needed. Also, could have done without the songbook. Appreciate the carrying case. Very happy with this purchase overall. Hopefully next time I don’t get a damaged tube.Read more

I bought this as a light-weight projector stand to use out on my deck. It does hold the projector steady after tightening the adjustment knob down very tightly. I will say that it won’t hold it at an angle regardless of how tight I cranked the knob – level is the best it will do. But it does adjust so it’s tall enough that the picture fills the entire screen. I wouldn’t recommend using it this way in a “professional” environment with lots of people moving around it, as it’s kind of slightly unsteady because it’s top-heavy with the projector on top of the light stand. But for my use on the deck with just a few people around, it works great. And the price was awesome.Read more

I play guitar and write songs as a hobby, and I could never figure out a good way to display my music so that I could see it while I play! At some point, it occurred to me that a music stand was just what I needed! This one was easy to assemble and it’s quite sturdy. It features two metal “arms” that hold the music in place on the stand, but those “arms” can be rotated out of the way if I don’t want to use them. The stand came with a carrying case and a notebook with page protectors, all ready for music to be added. Don’t have anything negative to say about this item!Read more

Light weight but stable. Stand legs are adjustable to different spread widths. I keep mine at 14″ apart to hold my heavy photography books (4 pounds) at a 36″ height using mainly the middle extension tube. It clears my desktop and much easier reading since my books are of high quality with glossy pages . Tray easy to install. Obviously I have no use for the desktop stand (I actually use to recline my phone) . The oversized carrying bag is useless since the stand is light, compact and easy to set unless you need to storage it in the attic (so why to buy it). Also a soft binder for music sheets but the inserts are only separators. This is a regular photographic light stand but with the adjustable tray which in the photography world are very expensive. So for me is an excellent value. Arrived on time and excellent packaging. No vertical slipping after 4 daysRead more

The media could not be loaded. Very easy to assemble, quite sturdy, and well engineered for a life time of service. The top CAHAYA page clip of MY pictures, is not included with the purchase. But the stand has two good bottom clips for your sheet music. It holds my portable light well up top. Easily adjust for heights or angles.Read more

On the website; the tagline of “without music…” I actually thought that was insensitive. I certainly would not be caught walking around carrying a bag with that statement on it. Not everyone has the ability to enjoy the sounds of music. The lack of music does not make “life a mistake”; I hope CAHAYA updates their tagline. FORTUNATELY, when I got the stand, the tagline was NOT there. If you were on the fence like I was, know that (at least the one I got) doesn’t have that message on it; I can put away my black sharpie marker. The stand is excellent for the price. It’s not PRO quality and probably wouldn’t withstand a beating in an environment where nobody cares that “it’s a just music stand”; but I’m a hobbyist and it’s great for home use; it easily holds even my heaviest song books and my Hal Leonard stuff fits perfectly. I used to work off a table/desk and didn’t think a music stand was worth the investment, but now I use it all the time. I would consider it an essential piece of equipment.Read more

Read more
