Two problems. 1. It leaks from the plastic fitting where it joins the brass body. Not gushing water, but enough to know after 24 hours there would be a significant puddle. 2. The threaded fitting where it attaches to the RV is not ‘deep’ enough, meaning I can’t get a really tight coupling between the RV hose bib and the regulator. Yes, I could stuff another hose washer into place, and will do that for a short term fix until a replacement regulator (not Camco) arrives, but it’s a design flaw nevertheless.Read more

After about a year of continuous use it started leaking out the threads of the black plastic top. I fussed with it a bit trying to get it to reseal but the plastic piece has very very fine threads so it will not allow you to tighten it any further. I was able to jerry-rigg it with a a 1 1/2 abs threaded pipe with a glued on top cap and a bolt screwed into the top for pressure adjustments. The 1 1/2 pipe piece allowed me to tighten it much tighter which cinch down on the rubber gasket stopping it from leaking. If you have high water pressure this device is not for you!!Read more

As a full-time RVer I have purchased several of these over the years, some more expensive and some cheaper. This is in the middle of the road as far as price but w/o a doubt the best one I have purchased! What I like most is it’s ever easy to adjust the water pressure up or down. Everyone of the others I owned I had to turn the screw multiple revolutions to get it to do anything! This Camco is the best!Read more

We found the screw on hose regulators, although great, restricted water too much. It helped prevent pressure from blowing hoses but the showers sucked with little flow. This CAMCO 40058 was obviously bigger and heavier but wow, what a difference in showers and washing dishes! Some people had complained about leaks and cracking cases, with the proper potable water sealant and not over doing the tightening, we have no leaks and works great. we added a 45 degree hose bib on one end and a 9″ flexible spring hose on the other and easy to hook up or remove. Will buy again.Read more

I purchased this to regulate pressure on my RV. I went nearly a year without one. Coworkers had told me that one was necessary both to prevent too much pressure from damaging pipes and to increase pressure as needed to get better shower pressure. When I first installed it, i was pleased with the preset pressure. However, a few months later I looked at it and the gauge read 150 pounds of pressure. This is way to high. I turned it down a bit and got no water. I turned it up to 140 and got a trickle. Right now, it’s set to 160 or so and has the same amount of pressure as I’d probably get without the regulator. Next time I change my water filter, I’ll be tossing this one in recycle bin and installing another, hopefully higher quality, one.Read more

This will only tell you your pressure when it’s capped off or fully connected. So I connected my normal pressure gauge to the end of it and it to the hose bib and then I could; A. see the water pressure, B. know if it was off or spot on, and C. adjust it to the pressure I wanted. Once I knew it was about 3 psi off (to the negative) I knew I could set it to 63 psi and the water supply to the TT would be at 60psi. Then it worked great!Read more

Finally got a chance to use this as most of our camping is boondocking. Item worked as it should. My husband did make a slight adjustment to create a little more water pressure in our rig. We love that you have the option to do that when necessary with this particular regulator. Item did arrive a bit damaged as the reader that tells you your psi, was sitting wonky. Didn’t notice it until we finally got to use it. But it still did what it was designed to do.Read more

Love this! Works as advertised. The very first site I used it on it was a life saver as the pressure was off, so after making an adjustment to about 45 the water was coming out perfect! Wonderful product!! Must have for the regular RV’ers like myself. I have it hooked up to the Water filter bought here on Amazon.Read more

This seems to be good quality and worth the investment to avoid burst lines. We used it for the first time this weekend. I suggest using a fifty cent roll of teflon plumber’s tape when you attach it. When a fitting came loose in our RV’s water heater due to bad maintenance from previous owners and doused my husband head-to-toe in water I was glad we had this regulator on the line. At least it was just 45 PSI of water hitting him in the face. Ha. (And yes, I’m sure this regulator didn’t cause the failure.)Read more

Read more

The pressure regulator works great. An adjustable pressure feature is a must so you can still get a good flow in the trailer but prevents spikes and high-pressure situations. Easy to install and easy to adjust.Read more
