Crap charger. Ordered 2 different times thinking I got a defective one. Both did not work. I’ve never had issues with any other charger. This one ONLY charges in one of my outlets, but my other chargers and friends’ chargers work in both outlets in the car without any issues.Read more

Works perfect! As expected from AmazonBasics. It has a nice material touch to it too, not like those cheap made USB car port but selling for $20+. This is definitely worth the buy with price+quality. Thanks AmazonBasics!Read more

This is the most awful purchase I’ve ever made. The product did its job for less than a year. I got it January of last year. It preformed beautifully up until Christmas. Christmas this year, I plug my expensive earbuds in to charge, and within a few minutes, as my husband and I are driving down the freeway to go to celebrate Christmas, AN ELECTRICAL FIRE STARTS IN THE CHARGER. On Christmas. I’m so lucky that I or my husband weren’t alone when this happened. Someone could have been seriously hurt. I mean, imagine you are going down the busy freeway and a fire starts in your car. We are lucky I saw it in time and dealt with it before it got more serious. I burned myself. My jacket. And my earbuds are now fried. This is so unacceptable!!!!! I always loved Amazon basics products. But I think I’m going to have to pass if they are going to be selling products that could do harm to me and others. Make it right, Amazon.Read more

I have become more conformable buying Amazon Basic devices and have yet to be disappointed. Bought this so we could easily charge 2 devices in our vehicle. Recently used it on a 13 hour road trip and it was constantly charging our 2 phones or 1 phone and 1 iPad pro. I was skeptical that it would charge the iPad Pro enough to keep it charged while using it, however it had no problem keeping up while the iPad was being used to watch downloaded movies. As far as durability, only time will tell but for the cost of it we have already got our money out of it. I am going to purchase several more of these to have in every vehicle.Read more

This charger has the 2.1 amps needed for modern phones. It’s nice to have 2 ports so the driver and passenger can share. Older cars don’t have built-in USB ports. In my case, my car has the USB ports but they are 1.0 amp. That’s just not enough power to keep up with power hungry apps. Try listening to music, using Waze and checking messages (passenger-only, please). The phone battery level will drop even while plugged into a 1.0 amp charge. This unit solves the problem.Read more

I have cars and trucks both new and old , easiest way I found to charge my galaxy is simply plugging this into the cigarette lighter socket and plugging my USB charging cable directly into it. Works well. If you have an older car this will be very usefulRead more

Overall very very happy with this product. Amazon basics kit are actually really good quality and this charger works a treat – with a good quality cable it does charge even high end phones and tablets quickly. The only issue I found is that it works best with actual 12V sockets, not cigarette lighter sockets. The 12V sockets are shallower so the charger fits snug whereas you have to really push them or fiddle with them to get them to work in lighter sockets.Read more

I have bought / owner several in car chargers and whilst they have been useful, at some point they have stopped working or more likely fell apart. I have has this one for well over a year now and I have to say it has been the best I have had so far. Power output is good even with two items plugged in. It has survived being dropped and being moved from car to car etc. Overall very pleased, in fact I bought one for my wife too.Read more

Bought this one to replace the one that “disappeared” when the car was serviced. Very simply this charger works in one car but not the other. You can buy a lot cheaper and its amazon branded so didnt expect this. I wouldnt buy again hence the 3*Read more

I’ve plugged this into my cig lighter but it doesn’t work. No LED is visible. I seems to stick out quite a lot even though I pushed it in as far as I could. Perhaps it doesn’t work on all cars? Mine is a 57 plate Renault miganne. Foolishly I threw away the (excessive ) packaging so will not be returning.Read more
