The edges are curled up…it looks goofy. Every single edge around this entire mouse pad is curled up…So there’s like a 1 inch border of unusable space on an already small mouse pad… Not thrilled at all.Read more

This product is shaped well and the gel is comfortable. However, the mouse pad arrived with a horrible rubber tire smell. As a chemist, I can tell you this is undoubtedly chemical compounds like phenol, benzene, carbon disulfide, isophorone, cyclohexanone, and many more. And yes, compounds like phenol and benzene CAUSE CANCER. Thanks cheapo manufacturers! Eventually, the compounds will evolve (evaporate) from the product and it won’t smell. I suggest putting in the garage and checking back in a month. Others suggest using white vinegar for 30 minutes. Do this at your own risk. It may destroy the pad.Read more

Are there any actual verified reviewers? Can’t stand all these free vine reviews. Anyways, can’t really complain too much. It isn’t gigantic, has a rubber back so it doesn’t move around. Some of the edges raise up a little. Serves it’s purpose.Read more

It’s cheap and it’s a mouse pad. Awesome. The wrist rest is a fair bit firmer than I would like. At the angle that I use this I find it actually is awkward to use. This is my personal opinion though, and perhaps other users won’t have the same issue. My problem comes down to the construction though. The mouse pad section curls up around the corners constantly. I tried pressing it between two books overnight, and the pad still curls. Granted this mouse pad is thin enough that they’re easily pushed down, but it feels odd that there isn’t a bit of backing on the product to keep it flatter. Second problem is the smell. I use my PC for quite a few hours some days, and my wrist comes away smelling like a gym mat. Really odd honestly. I’m tossing this mouse pad in the trash, and going shopping for a different one.Read more

Wasted money on this thinking it would be soft and flexible, boy was I wrong. This thing is the worst purchase I have ever made of a Amazon Basics product and I am totally disappointed with it. It’s hard and very uncomfortable to use, the edges came rolled up in the box it arrived in and it refuses to lay flat. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and buy something you can actually use rather something you will throw out after a days attempted use. Terrible product! Buy a brick and use that instead of this mouse pad, you’ll be better off and bricks are MUCH cheaper. Never again!Read more

It’s a black mouse pad with a gel-based wrist rest. It eases wrist stress. It is comfortable. The base prevents slipping, and the pad is made of some sort of high-quality fabric that allows precision mouse control. It will probably last a long time. So why four stars? I like it, that’s why. It works. Thanks to the AmazonBasics Gel Mouse Pad with Wrist Rest, I won’t have to worry about destroying tendons and developing claw handed cramps. But I do not love it. I never will love it. What kind of person would love their mouse pad? Think about that carefully.Read more

I bought this to replace a memory foam pad. I formerly had a gel pad for many years, but I had worn it down to the point where I would have residue on my wrist and forearm from rubbing against it. Being a complete cheapskate, I got the cheapest pad I could find. A pad is a pad after all, right? After about two days of using the new pad, my wrist began to ache terribly whenever I used it for more than a few minutes. It felt like resting the weight of my arm on a dull knife. Switching back to gel alleviated my pain within days. I can’t recommend it enough. Thick memory foam isn’t bad for bedding, but the paper thin stuff they put in shoes and braces might as well be a block of steel for all the good it does once compressed.Read more

I had been using a mouse mat with a foam wrist support but over the months working from home this flattened until it didn’t do its job anymore. This mouse mat has a wide gel wrist support which will not flatten over time and it provides good support to the wrist. The mat itself is a good shape which widens out as you get further away from the gel rest which allows sweeping movements of the mouse. I prefer this to the oval or square mat types. I guess just make sure the mat will fit on your desk in the space you have for it. I gave it 3* (Average) for gaming as to be honest, although I play PC games, I am not likely to give it a real hammering as I dont play those games that require heavy/rapid mouse movement.Read more

This works alright for the money. Wanted a cheap mouse matt for working from home and this is indeed a cheap mouse mat. For the price you cant expect anything more. It is comfortable enough and fits the wrist well. The actual mouse matt has never flattened since it has been used – about a fortnight – and still curls up on the corners. Good for the price but would recommend spending the extra fiver and buying a decent one.Read more

I bought an identical mouse mat under the Belkin brand about 10+ years ago, this proves they are long lasting. The gel in the wrist support became too flat and the fabric was wearing after years of use. I bought this type of mat with a wrist pad because I started to get the dreaded carpel tunnel syndrome and it stopped after I started using it. I like the large even shape for which you need a fair bit of desk space. It is well made and stays flat without the edges curling, I did not detect any smell only rubber close up. The distance between the gel wrist pad and the mat is ideal making it very comfortable to use all day long. It also helps with accuracy, I used to use to a pen and graphics tablet for photo editing but found a mouse with this mat more accurate. I am very pleased to have found a replacement.Read more

It smells awful out of the box, and your wrist and hand will smell too. I had a similar issue with the Fellowes one. This is my 3rd attempt trying to find a usable brand name mouse pad with wrist support Amazon, I’m going to give up soon… Also, it doesn’t lay flat on desk, and it looks like it’s been used before as both the front and the back seemed to have scratches.Read more
