I have been looking for value priced blue gel pens for a very long time. I previously ordered a dozen from another manufacturer and, if I remember right, they were about $30. I’m not made of money and those pens walked away from my desk during the pandemic, while I was working from home. Why? Because my employer would rather throw money away buying the cheapest and, coincidentally, the most unreliable splotchy, Jackson Pollock, ink spewing pens available. I’ve only been using these Amazon pens for a month but I have literally no complaints. They are comfortable and retractable with a modern semi transparent design. I gave one to a coworker and she seems to like it. I mean, it is just a pen. It’s not like it’s a good frying pan that doesn’t stick to the food you are cooking; but, I am pretty pleased with myself for buying two boxes to try out. I figured that at the value price if they were no good, I could give them to the coworkers I didn’t like. But, it turns out I think they are fantastic so I horde them like Smaug in the Quest for the Rings story written by JRR Tolkien. I know that’s not the name of the story or series with the Hobbitses and Orcs in it. But, I would rather take some Nerd criticism than look it up. Come at me nerds! But, if you do, you better get your mage to cast some kinda protection spell first. Bottom Line: These are excellent pens for thievin’ coworkers, Jackson Pollock, Orcs, Hobbitses, and Nerds. My husband likes to use red pens to write at work, mainly so that his coworkers cannot take his pens without it being obvious… For years, he’s been getting red Pilot G2 pens, but when I found these, I thought we’d give them a shot. To compare, my husband and I each used one of these pens at work for a few days. So far, we’ve only used two pens because we don’t want to open all of them at once, but both of these write nicely straight out of the box. Neither one of us has experienced any skipping or any issues writing at slightly different angles, or anything like that thus far. Both of us think that they’re comfortable to write with – personally, I think these are MORE comfortable to write with for longer periods of time. The cushion feels a little weird if you’re just playing with it, but it’s nice when writing. Compared to the G2 pen, the ink on this pen is a little brighter, and not as dull looking. This is a lot more obvious on colored paper, but I have included a picture of a side-by-side comparison on white paper. I like the brighter, slightly shinier ink of this pen better, especially on colored paper. The ink runs out a little faster than regular pens do, but not nearly as fast as many other gel pens. I have included a picture of the ink level of my pen after several days of use, next to an unused pen, so you can see how much I’ve used. The main reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is because the top part of the pen, by which I mean the white clip part, seems kind of cheaply made. The plastic of this piece feels cheap, and several of them squeak fairly bad if you twist this part of the pen. This seems particularly true for the pen I’ve been using; it squeaks much worse than the other ones, and has some white stuff in the top of the pen, which I have tried to show in a picture of it by itself, and next to another pen so you can see the difference. This does not, however, affect the use of the pens, so I’m not truly bothered. Finally, when these pens arrived, none of them had any bubbles in the ink… Now, about a week later, half of them have bubbles in the ink. I don’t think this affects anything either, but it is curious to me, especially since bubbles have only appeared in exactly half of the pens. Overall, I think these are pretty good pens. I’m not sure what the price is on them, but I found a 12-pack of blue AmazonBasics gel pens for $8.99, so assuming these ones are a similar price, they’re worth it! I would like to see a wider variety of color options, though… especially metallic or glitter pens!Read more

Awesome pens- they are comfortable to hold, and have super smooth gel ink- they are very similar to a pilot g2 in terms of smoothness and ink quality. I still prefer the g2 red as it is a little bit darker but this red is pretty close. The build quality is not high end but it doesnt feel super cheap either- and the grip has a little bit of squish to it that i really enjoy over the hardness of the “grip” on a pilot g2z Considering i got a box of 12 of these for about half what i would pay for 12 g2s this was a good deal. My only gripe(and reason for this not being 5stars) is that they aren’t refillable- im trying to reduce my footprint on earth and plastic waste is a big part of that. If they were refillable they would be a near perfect red pen.Read more

Please can you change the metal nib to needle nib Make the needle nib the most smoothest and glides like nibs from pilot v7 rt (o.7mm) <- The best nib I have tested so far in the nib size category of 0.7mm or unibal signo 0.7mm <- glides like butter or water or pentel 0.7mm <- smooth and glides but not as good as pilot v7 rt 0.7mm. Also the nib where you hold the pen is smooth (Thank you for adding rubber or cushioning on these pen nibs; can you make this rubber at the nib a little more squishier soft) but can you make it a bit more squishier as I hold the pen near the nib and would be extremely thankful if you can bring the same style of these pens with all the updations recommended will be a great seller.Read more
