I bought this to flatten seams when quilting. The wood does a much better job than the plastic ones sold for quilting. Reasonable price, too!Read more

This is one of those products that’s hard to get wrong. The handle is very strong and sturdy and has a nice fit in your hand, which can be important if you’re using all day. The roller has just the right rolling resistance to operate smoothly, although the hold in the center was a little off-center. It didn’t affect use but was noticeable. I ordered this to help apply adhesive repair tape firmly to an RV roof, and it worked well with some practice strips. I need to use strips of it to seal the edges of flexible solar panels against the roof this Spring once it warms up outside. Quite happy with this order.Read more

I picked up this little gadget to help smooth seams in my “temporary paint” — aka, solid-color wallpaper. I admit that I had originally done a poor job of installation (and over time it lifts since it’s indeed intended to be temporary/not damage walls), and this made it as adherent and as good-looking as new (and as if I had installed it perfectly). Very cheap and an amazing little tool in your household arsenal.Read more

Lately I prefer wallpaper to paint, because of the paint fumes that I can’t breath anymore. And I’ve been applying wallpaper to almost every room in our home, because I have the time, and because it makes each room look better without spending much. Anyway, this Amazon Basics Wallpaper Seam Roller had been a very helpful tool. Specially when the wall paper requires lots of flattening to stay in place. And rolling this over the corners takes very little effort, and makes the job much faster and easier. And the handle has a good grip regardless of how fast I move the tool.Read more

I’ve been on a wallpaper jag recently and have been using all sorts of things to try to smooth the wallpaper – including squeegees and credit cards to very unimpressive results. This little roller is a much better tool for the job. I used it on my bathroom wallpaper and it was much easier to work with and seemed to give me a better quality result. Like Grandpa always said, “Use the right tool for the job.”Read more

I was planning on putting up wallpaper in my daughter’s closet and needed a seam roller to help get the air bubbles out. I decided to get the “Amazon Basics Wallpaper Seam Roller” because of the reviews. I am glad that I did, because this seam roller was great. I was able to easily remove any air bubbles that showed up. After I used this, her wallpaper looked like it was professionally done. All in all, this seam roller is great! Ten out of ten! Do recommend!Read more

I had to paper my little downstairs toilet in a rush as my plumber told me to get it done over the weekend before he plumbed the toilet in as it would be difficult once it was in and I had to do as I was told as good plumbers are hard to come by. I wanted a wallpaper seam roller at the time and I thought I had one somewhere but I couldn’t find it back then and haven’t found it since so when this one was offered to try I was delighted and jumped at it. I’d saved some paste in a jar as I knew that this job was going to need doing eventually. It is easier to do a good job keeping seams flat at the time of papering as the paper is still soft and pliable, so I popped a bit of paste underneath with a small paint brush and left it for 5 minutes to soak and soften the paper. Then I used the seam roller to stick it down; I did try with my fingers first and that didn’t work, it didn’t stay down, so the roller definitely did a good job and my paper is now flat to the wall. The handle is a nice size to fit in your hand and the roller rolls smoothly without getting stuck or scuffing the paper. I’m very happy with this handy little roller and wish I’d had it last February when I was hanging the paper in the first place. I’ve always found hanging wallpaper very satisfying but I was thinking of paying someone to do my hall as I want the seams to look right but this little gizmo is making me rethink that decision, especially since we can’t get it done any time soon due to lockdown. If you want to hang your wallpaper yourself then you definitely need one of these to give you a neat look to your seams.Read more

I received this as a free item for review, and and as such I am afraid I don’t what the selling price of it will be, so cannot comment on the value for money aspect of things. The roller is made up of a lightweight but chunky plastic handle attached to a spindle around which rotates a wooden wheel. Just three parts to the item, so it should last for a long time. The wheel is firm enough to be able to press down seams, but watch out when you use it – if you press too hard, you’ll finish up with tramtracks of adhesive at about 1/2 inch on either side of the seam. if you have the appropriate amount of adhesive on, the roller does a good job of pushing the seams flat against the wall without leaving unsightly finger marks which you sometimes get if smoothing by hand. If this item costs more than 5 or 6 pounds, then it’s over-priced. If it’s being sold at 3 or 4 pounds or less, then it’s worth getting. since it does a decent job of smoothing seams.Read more

Good little wooden roller with a plastic handle, not the grippiest handle, but it’s OK, it does suggest in the description that it’s good for getting into corners, I’d dispute that a bit, in that, because the roller wheel is held on both sides, it can’t get right into the corner, but will get withing 7 or 8mm, so long as you’re careful!! Had the roller been supported on only one side, it’d get closer!! But otherwise its great for seams, pushing air pockets about, etc.Read more

This is a good quality wood and plastic wallpaper seam roller. The roller is a couple of centimetres wide. It’s designed to flatten the edges of wallpaper where they meet. As such it performs well and reflects the overall good quality of the AmazonBasics range. Recommended. Four stars.Read more

This is excellent for wallpaper seam joining, but you need to ensure that you wallpaper is 100% straight. I’ve also found this roller useful for crafting, by attaching various textures to the wheel for rolling. Some great effects. It’s well made and durable.Read more
