…I threw the entire box into the trash bin. Now, I do realize that under normal circumstances even the most perfect trash bags end up in the trash bin, but these were not normal circumstances! The bags were all stuck together. Not like trash bags are usually stuck together, but more like they were fused. I couldn’t open them without ripping them to shreds. The tops were fused shut, and once I ripped a few tops open, I found the middle of the bags were also fused together. I suppose I went through 15 or 20 bags before I cut bait, and sent them away with a curse I learned from my gypsy grandmother, to never darken my recyclables again.Read more

They are stuck together so that when you try to open the bag, it tears around the drawstring area. We’ve been using them anyway and I would say 95% of them tear, maybe 5% do work. Don’t buy them!Read more

These bags are OK, except for one thing..they are sealed!! YES sealed. Everytime I used a bag it’s like the bag is seal at the top of the opening of the bag. By the time I get the bag open its RIP UP. I will not buy these Blue Recycled Bags again. I would not recommend anyone to buy these bags.Read more

These are thinner than the hefty brand, are are relatively the same price. The hefty bag has 60 bags and the Amazon has 45. Hefty is made in the USA Amazon is made in the USA. Hefty comes in a more sturdy box, but the Amazon box isn’t terrible. The Amazon box is plain white with just a label on it, so less dyes make better composting, if that’s important to you. I bought these by mistake but decided to keep them to compare. The hefty brand doesn’t tear as easily. I have found that the Amazon bass drawstrings are more flimsy, creating a tear in the bag when tying it up. The look of the bag is almost identical other than the drawstring and the hefty are less crinkled (but who cares about that, really) I feel if you are recycling things like cardboard boxes, cans, etc, then the hefty are for you. If you are recycling things like paper or plastic wrapping or empty jugs (lighter things) then the Amazon ones are fine. Truly depends on your household.Read more

These are supposed to be 1.1 mil bags, and my regular kitchen garbage bags are 0.9 mil, but these felt much thinner and tore easier. They were being used for event recycling, so we could tell what was recycling and what was garbage. They worked fine for paper and bottles but tore with larger cardboard. I did not have problems with the ties like other people mentioned. -JenRead more

The drawstrings on these bags constantly rip. That’s the biggest drawback. If you’re OK with using ties, or do not need a tight closure, they will be more than sufficient, especially given the price.Read more

When I think of the worst product in the world, the only thing that comes to mind is these recycle bags. I’d have better luck carrying my bottles out in a wet paper towel than putting them in these bags. I would rather hoard my recyclables than ever buy these bags again. Amazon got some ‘splainin to do.Read more

The pictures show a normal sized bag. These are about 1/2 the size. Very short and square. Not that useful. Maybe in an office can or something. They are fine bags but if the pic reflected the size it would be much better. I wanted normal sized bags.Read more

The quality of the bag is good. I wish they would put the size of the bag other than the volumn that it holds. These are a bit too small for what we wanted them for. I will not buy again.Read more
