A kit would be boxed, have instructions that included both words and pictures, and be simple for kids. This is three SMALL baggies of supplies. Only supplies. NO instructions, no words, no photos. While the supplies seem to be good quality, they’re still only supplies. Now, I’m forced to either return this “kit.” Or find a book as an aid to creating jewelry out of supplies. For a 10 year old. I am very pleased, the charms are high quality, like Pandora charms but you get a whole bag of them for the price of one on sale. My little 8 year old cousin was so excited, she immediately made bracelets and necklaces for everyone at her party. I opened it up before gifting it to her to make sure it was appropriate and I almost kept it for myself the charms were so nice. It is barely bigger than a deck of playing cards! I expected more for $30.00. The contents does look to be of reasonable quality and appropriate for a 9-10 year old as compared to other bracelet kits, which I find to be geared for younger girls, age 5-7.
