I used to love these towels because they were so thick and excellent at picking up polish or wax residue. These were my go to towels. I recently placed an order and immediately noticed the new ones are thinner and not as plush. I put the two year old towels next to new towels to compare. The new towels have a less dense pile, not as plush, and fibers are about 1/4 shorter than the ones I bought two years ago. The gap in the pile is larger and it sheds like crazy. I wish I bought more of the old ones.Read more

I was surprised at how poorly these worked out. I washed them as directed, and when I used these the first time, they left tiny pieces of lint all over the outside of the car! I was so angry. I switched to another MF towel, and had no issues. I washed them again…and still – got a bunch of lint all over outside of car! I wish I had used them sooner, and was able to return them. Not happy.Read more

WARNING! Careful washing these! I purchased these Chemical Guys Microfiber towels along with some from a company called The Rag Company (those came in Black, Blue and Gray colors.) I pre washed them all together prior to using them to get the lint and oils out of them for better performance as recommended by many microfiber companies. I used HOT water as stated on the Chemical Guys packaging as well as Tide Ultra laundry detergent and Oxi Clean Powder detergent (no additional fabric softners) and the Chemical Guys towels came out of the wash very discolored as shown in the pics. At first I thought The Rag Company towels bled their color during the wash but they all came out looking like new still with no signs of color bleeding and no fading or anything. Again, See pics for comparison. So then I thought maybe the temp was too hot, but the Chemical Guys packaging specifies wash HOT. I later found out it is not recommended to use powder soap, but that was not mentioned on the Chemical Guys care instructions on the package anywhere. Ultimately, I believe the oxy clean powder caused the damage. I saw another customers review stating his CG microfiber towels also got discolored after first wash but that review says he used the specific CG microfiber wash… In order to figure out what caused the discoloration I decided to re wash the discolored towels again, and this time I added another NEW, undamaged Chemical Guys microfiber towel in. I re washed them on a setting called (Eco warm, just under the HOT setting just in case my washer got too hot) I Used only the Tide Ultra detergent, no Oxy Clean Powder, and I left the The Rag Company towels out and once again. Also, no fabric softners. The discolored towels didn’t get any better after the wash but the new towel I put in there came out looking and feeling new. No damage at all, no discoloration. Unfortunately because I changed temp, removed the other towels and washed without the oxy powder I’m not sure what did cause the discoloration. How ever I’m almost certain it was the oxy powder. Summary, I suggest you wash these by themselves with nothing else including clothes or even any other microfiber towel especially if they are different color. And DON’T use any powdered soap. My Tide detergent seemed to do fine but I Will buy the specific microfiber soap instead as these are not cheap to keep replacing. I attached picture of the discolored CHEMICAL GUYS towels, vs a new pack for color reference.. I also included pictures of the detergents I used, and even a pic of the Rag Cos towels that I washed with with the CG towels that were damaged. I rated 5 stars because this was obviously user error. Not the towels fault. However, Chemical Guys should specify no powder detergent to their care instructions if this will cause damage. Side note, new vs new, the Chemical Guys microfiber towels plush side feel fairly similar to The Rag Cos towels, even though the Rag Cos towels cost more. Also, the low pile side on the Chemical Guys towels was NIGHT AND DAY softer than the Rag Cos towels low pile side. I may return the rag co towels and get different color CG towels instead. Anyway, thanks for reading sorry for long review but I hope it helps someone!!! UPDATE! AFTER READING SOME REVIEWS ON THE RAG COs TOWELS, I LEARNED THEY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH BLEEDING COLOR EVEN AFTER MULTIPLE WASHES. I GUESS IT IS VERY POSSIBLE THE RAG COMPANY TOWELS CAUSED THE DAMAGE AFTER ALL!!!! I RETURNED THEM AND PURCHASED CHEMICAL GUYS TOWELS INSTEAD!Read more

These are even better than the thicker microfiber cloths for cars I got from Costco that came 36 to a pack. I ended up with two packs of those and they last me (someone who washes his car maybe 3 times a week) about 3 months after washing them after every use. I just 4 packs of these delivered to me yesterday and used them right out of the box without washing first and they were a dream, truly left no streaks like my Costco ones did, I didn’t have to go over the same spot twice, amazingly absorbent on the high pile side, and they trapped even more dirt and grime. Now i bought 48 of these, and ended up using about 25 for a COMPLETE detail of my 2020 chevy malibu. This was using them correctly, and swapping the towels out every time one got too dirty so as to not scratch the paint. A lot of people out there are being super conservative just using two and even just ONE of these towels to dry their whole car, good luck polishing out those swirls later on cheapscakes. Anywhos…. I’m going to tell you all the secret to washing these towels that I’m not seeing ANYONE leave a detailed enough review on how to properly wash and maintain these things. TO WASH: Always wash these by themselves, never with other fabrics or clothing items. People will say it’s ok to use laundry detergents to clean these, but in doing so you WILL decrease the efficiency of the absorbency of these cloths. ALWAYS ONLY use a DEDICATED microfiber wash for these. I use Chemical guys microfiber wash, the orange liquid. Drop about 6 capfuls in a medium load, and WASH THEM IN HOT WATER after using on your dirty, grimy, oily car. The hot water will release any entrapped dirt and grime that the microfiber lifts off of your car, cold water will not do this. And don’t worry. the hot water will not damage these, now the drier is another story. DO NOT USE HEAT TO DRY THESE. If you can use your AIR FLUFF with no heat feature on your drier, they will dry in less than 20 minutes on their own and upon taking out will quite literally feel as new as they did right out of the pack. If you don’t have an air fluff feature on your dryer, use the lowest setting of heat and let them go for about 15 minutes, they should dry before then. Don’t leave them in too long in a heated drier, even at a low setting, too much heat and over time they will become thinner, and wayyyy less absorbent, i learned this the hard way with my Costco Micros. Hope this helps the lot of you.Read more

Lint free? Do you guys even know what that means? These “microfiber lint-free” towels left a nightmarish quantity of yellow lint all over my truck while wiping off their HydroCharge ceramic product. Now I’ll have to waste another day of my life removing it. DO NOT BUY THESE TOWELS if you care about your vehicle. Absolutely awful. I’ll be using these in the bathroom where they belong.Read more

I wanted to give this microfiber five stars but it just fell short because of one silly detail. They have tags. I could understand that for a generic brand but when a car detailing company makes microfibers they should know better than to add tags. Having said that this is a pretty plush microfiber. I added a picture comparing it next to The Rag Company Spectrum 420. The spectrum feels just slightly thicker but is almost double the price. If this holds up well then it’s a great bargain buy at $2/microfiber. It’s great for applying sealants, buffing, cleaning windows, removing polish and compound residue, quick detailing etc. I was able to remove the tags. Very carefully you can tear out the tags without ripping the stitching of the silk border. Do it slowly. I suspect that after multiple washes the stitching where the tags were will probably start to fall apart though. Time will tell.Read more

Excelente producto. Funciona bien. Solo que hay que aprender a usarlo. Absorbe bastante agua. Read more

Both the blend and brand are inaccurately mentioned in the description. The brand sent to me is Motovise which I’ve never heard of beforeRead more

These are some of the best towels if used in the correct application. The main use being for waterless wash of the painted body panels. They have the advantage of not leaving any lint while being good at picking up dusty debris. For glass, use only waffle weave micro towels and to buff off dried wax/sealant find the thickest towel you can find. So yes there is a microfiber towel for every use, it’s all about understanding which one to use where.Read more
