I’m nominating this product for a sainthood, because it works miracles! I adopted a stray cat, Summer, 5 months ago and on her own, she’s the sweetest, most loving thing. When she’s around my other cat, Aurora, though… Summer becomes a freaked-out nightmare. My vet suggested using a Feliway pheromone diffuser to ease tensions, and after reading a lot of reviews of different products and finding that a LOT of them are fire hazards, I chose this one because of the feature of it shutting off if it gets too hot. I’ve been using it for 2 months now, and have had no issues with it burning, melting, or smelling bad. I now feel safe leaving it plugged in even when I’m gone for longer periods of time. Within a day of first plugging it in, Summer was her sweet self again, even around Aurora. It’s very evident when the diffuser has run out- that’s when the kitties start fighting again. I live in a single bedroom apartment of about 550 sq. ft. and one diffuser placed in the middle satisfactorily covers the whole space. My only complaint is that it takes up a whole power outlet since it hangs down and you’re not supposed to have anything above it. That’s a minor inconvenience I can live with though to have my kitties both cuddling with me at the same time! They still have their conflicts, but Aurora and Summer now get along MUCH better due to this product, and I plan to continue using these for the foreseeable future!Read more

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU VALUE YOUR HOME and FAMILIES LIVES!!!! I was very excited to get this product to help my newly adopted cats adjust to their home. Read the reviews and this product had the fewest comments on being a fire hazard. Well let me tell you, this product is a fire hazard for sure, don’t buy!!! We plugged the unit in and within 45 minutes had to unplug it because we smelled burning and saw wisps of smoke coming from it. Thank goodness we were home to prevent a fire from starting and it made the cats MORE anxious than they already were. I had so much optimism about this product that I bought the pack with 2 scent pods and the cats like the scent. So I’ve been adding drops of the liquid to my fire safe tabletop misting diffuser and that seems to make everyone in the house happier/calmer.Read more

This did nothing for my cats, who are quite tense with each other. We tried the Feliway diffuser which is much more expensive and it really helped, but only lasts about a month, which gets expensive. We thought we’d try a cheaper version and see if it did the same, it doesn’t. Don’t skimp on price and just get the Feliway instead. I’m also very sensitive to scent and I can smell this, it has an odd scent. The Feliway doesn’t smell of anything to me.Read more

This worked wonders with our cats. Our male cat stopped urinated outside of his box and fighting with our female cat. But the diffuser is leaking on our floor underneath it. It also started smelling a bit like burning, so I had to unplug it. Debating if I should buy a new one.Read more

Didn’t seem to do anything at all. Tried to try it for the recommended 4 weeks. I checked the coverage area and I only needed one. (I live in a small one bedroom.) It got very hot when plugged in so much that I started checking it every day to make sure it wasn’t going to start my apartment on fire. After about 20 dayscit started to leave a burning scent in the air and it was super hot to the touch. I ended up unplugging it. During the time it was plugged in I didn’t see a difference in behavior at all. I bought this so that one of my 2 cats would be calmer during grooming. She is very well trained, does not exibit bad behaviors but gets very frazzled and upset when it’s time to trim her nails. My other cat had no change in his mild scratching habit at all. I’m sure this wasn’t related to this product (at least I hope) but my female cat died a few days after I unplugged this.

Make sure you have portrait oriented wall plugs! This product is great – I’ve used it before in other residencies. But I can’t use this at my current house. If I plug them in Sideways, they leak. Check your plugs before you buy this.Read more

There was a burning smell within 10 mins of plugging so had to disconnect. The diffuser and wick were burnt. This happened because this product is not designed for Australia due to the electric voltage. Have to use some converter to step-down to 110v. I should have checked before ordering. If you are ordering this outside the U.S. please take this into consideration. There was no review that mentioned this. Luckily I had already received the refund due to delay in shipment. I am therefore unable to confirm if this product works as expected on my cats. I will be ordering Feliway locally which is actually not really for multi-cat conflict but it will have to do for now.Read more

I was skeptical at first but it truly works! I brought a new kitten home and wanted the transition to move smoothly. It was hard at first, but once I installed this in our room I noticed both cats interacting friendlier and coming to cuddle together on our bed! I tried this calming diffuser because I have two cats that are often at odds with one another, and because they were stressed out by a recent move. My female cat was peeing blood. My male cat was peeing on my clothing and furniture. The pheromones chilled them out quite a bit. In fact, they sleep a lot now. Like all day sleep. They still have their tussles from time to time though. The product is advertised to last UP TO thirty days, but in my experience one bottle of pheromones lasts about three weeks.
