I bought this for my 7 year old daughter who loves crafts and for her 10 year old cousins to do when they come over. The kids really enjoyed making their own sand art! For $20, you get 10 multi sized plastic bottles in cute shapes like flower, dolphin, zebra, and a few small ones that can be used as necklaces with the included strings. You also get different colored sand bags, a small glitter packet, a rod that you can make designs in the sand with. The set is awesome for multiple kids to use, even for a birthday party. However, you only get ONE funnel to pour the sand in with, which is not good if you have multiple kids using the set at the same time. They should include at least 2 funnels because if multiple kids are using it at once, then they each have to wait for the person using the funnel to finish their entire sand art before they can get a turn. You do get two bags of a few of the colors like pink and yellow, but I wish they included two of each color. The bags the sand are in are very thin and cheap – two of ours, the purple and the yellow both had a hole in them and sand went everywhere when we unboxed the set. I’m taking off two stars. #1 When I opened the sand bags, my kitchen filled with the toxic smell of paint chemicals. My nose and eyes were burning as I was opening them. If my kids weren’t so excited to do the sand art, I probably would’ve tossed it for this reason alone. I’m not one to fret over mild industrial smells, but this just smelled very toxic to me. #2 It advertises 10 sand bottles. We only had 9 in our box. Plus, the plastic is very cheap. I expected cheap plastic, but the lids are really difficult to get on and off. I’m leaving one star because my kids had a blast with this activity. The sand is very colorful and my kids had a blast doing it. I’ll buy sand art in the future, but will shop around for something less toxic smelling. Or maybe just save glass jars and buy my own sand.Read more

We bought this for my niece who lives a distance away. When she received it, we were notified that pieces were missing, like the funnel for example. That was disappointment to the adults, but she didn’t let that phase her! She made her own funnel out of paper! She enjoyed the gift and had a lot of fun making sand art. All in all, it’s a great gift. Just be warned that you may receive sand art with missing pieces.Read more

This was great, my son loved pouring the sand in and creating. They even gave more sand than you needed to fill so you can use some for another art project. This is great for hand eye coordination too! Worth the money, so fun!Read more

Ok sand kit. Don’t expect to get the colors of sand shown in picture. We did not receive any orange or purple and we’re pretty disappointed. Also the sand is not super bright colored. It’s more pastel colored. For 25 dollars I expected to receive what is shown in picture.Read more
