these have a more mellow sound compared to the Ej45 by mellow i mean less bright tang in your basses, very simliar to the difference in steel strings when differing between 80/20 and phosphus bronze, these 80/20 copper compared to silver wound strings are more mellow deep sounding, so my advice would be for those who enjoy the sound of 80/20 steel strings more than phosphur bronze but are playing a classical guitar these would be more toward your liking, personally i like the brighter silver wound strings and mt favorite nylon string for classical guitars are the EJ45TT everyone should try the EJ45TT’s in my opinion the best string you can get.Read more

Interesting tonal variations compared to EJ45 strings. The bronze windings do add a unique tone to these classical strings! Not sure it will become my new standard but these strings do add variety to your guitar’s sound.Read more

I’ve been stringing guitars for 60+ years and I’ve never had such difficulty putting new strings on an instrument, especially the 2nd (B) and 5th (A) strings. No matter which method I use, the strings repeatedly slip out of the bridge when under tension. I’ve used every classical knot I remember, and several I’ve found on the web. As my frustration mounts, I am convinced I need to go back to my first love, the Martin nylon classical strings. Never had an issue with them.Read more

They sound dreamy. Exactly what I was looking for. Update: the go dull fast and you will need to change your strings every few weeks if you play a lot. Im pretty disapointed by that.Read more

I have used D’Addario nylon strings for my classical guitar for many years and have found them to be of good quality. I bought this pack to replace a broken 5th string. One detail: on previous packs, I recall the strings being packed in individual plastic packs while in this one, they were all in one. I tend to be ok replacing just a single broken string and not the entire set and would prefer the individual packing. No a big deal though.Read more

D string separated and broke in the middle of the string shortly after stringing. Had to buy another new set, as I was unable to purchase individual strings. I did not buy the same brand. Strings which did not break had excellent tone and feel.Read more

We bought this set for our Cordoba Mini. We’re far from being experienced and professional musicians at home, but we like the sound and feel of these strings! I can’t actually say more specific things about it. See? Inexperienced! If you’re beginning playing, just like my husband and me, I think it’s a great set of strings!Read more

I have been using D’Addario strings since 1979 and have never had an issue. I am a casual player, pulling out the git box for my own enjoyment or to sing with close friends. These strings went on as expected and sound fine to me.Read more

I went through a phase of trying every possible string, under gigging and studio conditions. Hannabach, Augustine, Thomastik, Savarez, C.F. Martin, etc. Strings either had great sound, but no lasting quality (Savarez), sounded average, or sounded poor. The only ones that consistently sound great and last a long time after heavy gigging are D’Addarios. Their standard nylon cores are great (their composite core even better). These are of the former type, with subjectively a little mellower sound than my normal EJ45s, hence dropping one star for me (as well as being the more expensive of manufacturers). However, that may be your thing, so do not discount.Read more

As a set of ‘high tension’, plain ended nylon guitar strings these are good value for money. My only criticism is that that the B and G strings seem a little less responsive, less bright than the other strings. Tonally, I find them unmatched with the top E which is taut and bright. I am sure many players would be less picky than me and find these D’Addario strings perfectly good. I have used D’Addario steel strings on other guitars for years and have always been impressed by them. This nylon set is perfectly usable on my classical guitar though I shall continue looking for an even higher tension set for which I shall probably have to pay at least twice as much.Read more

Quality I have come to expect over the years from Daddario. Consistently good strings thanks to the laser testing. The bronze have great longevity also. Hard tension is best for lower actions and styles like jazz or flamenco.Read more

My favourite strings for many years. I started using the PoArte as my local guitar shop and teacher recommended these. The sound of my budget guitar sounded instantly better and now I am still using Pro Arte the best strings for serious guitar players or not so serious ones tooRead more

The best nylon strings out there, incredible lifespan and brightness. I’ve had a sets on for 6 months plus. Never broken a string yet despite never hammering down hard on them. Highly recommend.Read more
