The product description says “similar to Lego, but not Lego”. This kit is really more like the Japanese Nanoblock kits than like Lego. The pieces are smaller than Lego and the designs are more intricate. They do recommend age 14 and up because of the small pieces, while Lego usually recommends age 8 and up. Genuine Nanoblock kits usually come with tweezers to help you fit small pieces into tight spaces. This kit did not include tweezers, but hopefully you have them from other Nanoblock kits. This kit includes 9 bags of pieces. Unfortunately, unlike Lego or genuine Nanoblock, the bags are not organized by the order of the instruction manual. I frequently had to dig through all 9 bags to find the right pieces for a particular page in the instructions. The instructions are large and easy to read and generally accurate. There are a few places where the instructions don’t make sense and I had to improvise. This is especially true of the last few pages in the manual that cover assembling the trees. I generally do like this kit. The pieces are good quality and fit together well. My kit was not missing any pieces (often a problem with lesser known brands). Price is quite a bit cheaper than Lego or genuine Nanoblocks, so I am willing to live with a few problems with the instructions and organization. The kit was satisfying to build and looks nice when complete. 4 stars.Read more

The individual pieces are very detailed and fit together as good if not better than competitive brands.
