If you plan to try and connect multiple strands of these lights together, save your sanity. I almost committed a violent crime after trying to do it for my daughter’s room. I tried for THREE hours and they would not stay connected or would not connect at all. I am an engineer, and pretty technically inclined. The app that the lights use is called Magic Home Pro. After grabbing it from the app store the setup only took a couple minutes. I had to re-scan once to find the light controller but after it was located came up fine. I know a lot of inexpensive wifi devices only use 2.4 GHz wifi so when prompted for the wifi network I pointed it towards that one. The app has a few gimmicks such as pointing your phone camera at a color (like a red pillow) and having the lights switch to that same color. It also has music sync where the lights flicker with the music. The lights themselves aren’t as bright as other’s I’ve bought but overall they’re perfect for under counter/cabinet mood light type of stuff since they integrate with a smart speaker like Alexa.Read more

The lights look perfect around my room, I bought 4 orders and connected all 4 around the entire room. The only problem is the connection to each one is kind of hard to connect because the pins don’t really match up and it takes a while to get them in a certain position to match the rest of the lights. Plus, the electrical tape they give you to keep them connected lasted about 3 hours at max but I bought some electrical tape and put it on, now it works amazingly.Read more
