The chalk board is not even a real chalk board. It’s like wood covered in green plastic. The marker board is really hard to erase and when I used some dry erase marker board cleaner it made the top layer of plastic peel up. This thing is a piece of crap. Update: There is a plastic cover on both sides of the easel, marker board and chalk board. Now that it’s off the product is 20 times better. Both working as they should.Read more

I bought this as a birthday gift for my 2 year old. I liked the fact that it had a whole tray to hold her chalk and markers and crayons. I also really wanted an easel that held paper on top. Upon opening it, all the pieces were there and so I started the assembly, which was really easy. However, 2 of the legs were wonky and then screws went right through the center of them. They’re still usable, it’s just a lot harder to keep them in place. Also for the paper holder up top, If I screwed in the red triangle things tightly, the dowel to hold that paper roll wouldn’t fit. We’ve had this product about a month and a half now and I’ve noticed there are cracks in the wood and it hasn’t held up great. My child isn’t hard on her things either, so I know that isn’t the reason. My daughter loves the chalkboard though, so I’ll just keep fixing it until I can’t anymore. It works for the price but I really wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.Read more

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my children. First, it was shipped in a regular store box as if it were on the shelf with the pictures. There was no outer shipping box, bubbles, foam or anything to protect it so the box was all beat up and damaged. We got over that since it had all the pieces and appeared to only have a minor ding in the wood…and we repackaged it and put it under the tree. Second, it was visibly frail and made with cheap fragile materials. Upon assembly, which was fairly easy, it was low grade wood, wobbly even with all screws tightened and did not stay together longer than a few weeks. It collapsed multiple times with normal writing pressure on both boards. Thirdly, I would not recommend gifting this to anyone! It is overly priced as is. The plastic kiddy ones would be a better investment. This is currently flat on my floor and unusable. It was a complete waste of money and an extreme disappointment because my kids love art and can’t even use it.Read more

I’ve had easel for my brother, my nephew and now my son, so I’m saying from experience. This was a cheap piece. The holes didn’t match up, the instructions weren’t clear, the screw were so small that they didn’t go through the ‘oval’ shaped holes. Even after reading this you want to buy this, go ahead, but I promise you, you’ll be frustrated just like me! I ended up buying from Target.Read more

It’s okay. You have to be really careful when you tighten the twist knobs because the wood is soft. The slot used on the legs to adjust the height creates a weak point at the top of the leg. Since the wood is so soft, it split. I had to use my handyman skills and zip tied it back together. times. I also put some washers where it contacts the wood to help spread the clamping force. My kid still uses it till this day. Just be careful with the adjustment knobs and add washers, you’ll be good.Read more

This product is ok and a good product for the price. It was easy to assemble. As seen by the pictures they sent two of the same side orange braces. The pre drilled holes on the orange bracers needed to be on opposite sides. We had to add extra holes on the brown wooden part of the easel to get it to attach correctly. And no we couldn’t just turn the orange piece around. Because if we did that then the notch to hold the paper roll would’ve been on the outside and we would not have been able to attach the paper roll. If I didn’t have a handy man I’d have probably sent it back because of this mistake though. Also the wood pegs that hold the tray underneath the boards come out VERY easily. I would recommend to go ahead and glue them in or you’re probably going to lose one. All in all my 5 year old is big on drawing and the 3 different types (2 boards and paper) are great so he can use different types art supplies.Read more

I was frustrated because I was hoping to easily assemble, however I got a screw with no rivets in it. So I need my husband to fix that. And also I got two pieces exactly the same, the red trapezoids that connect for the paper roll to sit on, which doesn’t work well because the holder ends up facing the wrong way. So I also will need to drill extra holes to make it fit properly. Despite the frustration, the chalkboard works great and so does the magnets and dry erase board!Read more

This item is a little flimsy in the legs, but the adjustable height is a good feature for smaller kids. The dry erase and chalk board function really well, just remember to pull off the plastic sheeting first. It’s neat because both of my children can use it at the same time and it has already gotten a lot of use.Read more
