*UPDATE* The manufacturer contacted me directly to help resolve the issue, and they sent a replacement unit. The replacement works great! Assembled the same way, attached to headset and put it on, and I found that this strap holds well. Where the first one was loosening with slight movement, this one is holding strong. Passes the wiggle and shake test. Very glad to have a working strap for my Quest 2! The overall look and feel is nice, but that’s about where things end. Assembled it correctly, put the headset on, tightened it down, and instantly heard it unclick a few times. Shook my head around a bit to see how well it would hold and heard it unclick a few more times, and the headset was wiggling loose on my head. Tried it a few more times, and generally would unclick/loosen with a bit of shaking my head. This shouldn’t happen with a decent headstrap. I own a Vive Pro, Pro 2, and HP Reverb G2, which all use the same twist-knob click-to-tighten design, and none of them have this issue. When you put those ones on and tighten them down, they stay in place no matter how much I shake my head. Sorry Destek I wanted to like it, but this was an instant return.Read more

This is my first review of the hundreds of things I’ve bought on Amazon. Get ready to throw your old strap away because once this goes on you will never even look at another one. Firstly I’ll say for people with glasses (such as I) this will change all frustrations you have with taking the headset on and off. No adjustments needed once you find your sweet spot. It stays in place, doesn’t move which in turn means your glasses don’t unadjust or smear. The silicone face cover seemed like a gimmick…until I used it. Super comfortable and easy to put on. Just feels more natural against your skin then foam. The build quality is great…I mean it looks amazing, is solid. Not much more to say about that. For the price this thing will change everything about your Q2 and may I reiterate that people with glasses, this will tenfold heighten your experience.Read more

My biggest gripe is that u shape at the bottom, I think it aughta be more of a “curvy w” so when you look up it doesn’t try to scoot further up your head. But at least with me I managed to find a sweet spot where it doesn’t scoot and still feels super stable. It’s not so much the most comfy strap I’ve had, but you can REALLY crank down on it if you so choose and it just STAYS. Maybe adding a little weight to the back could help stabilize it some more as well and balance it out better without needing to drank so much. I was looking at a lot of youtube videos to make my choice. I finally decided on this DESTEK Elite strap. I must say that I am very happy. I can now see properly even with my glasses on. Easy on and off. Can adjust the fit, stays on and doesn’t feel like it going to fall off. I like that it came with lens protectors. (I just have to remember to remove them before I turn it on! LOL) Did not use the silicone face cover yet.Read more

Instantly better than the default strap. I had issues with the front being heavy and the original strap causing pressure on my face which was only made worse by the fact that I need glasses to play, but this strap replacement holds it steady on my head without all the pressure from the default oculus strap The assembly was easy aside from getting the strap into the headset which took a little time, but over all this is definitely worth the money if you play VR regularlyRead more

The eye cover feels cheap and the silicone cover doesn’t fit very well which would be forgivable if the head strap worked but it never installed well and I tried multiple times ti follow the instructions and the one of the snapping mechanisms for the side cover broke and it wouldn’t secure at all. Don’t recommend unless you get extra side pieces.Read more

So I decided to pick this strap up because I’ve always had trouble with the stock strap for the Oculus Quest 2. The stock strap is just so finnicky and you really need to adjust it for the best amount of clarity and comfort. After watching some online reviews of different Quest 2 straps, I decided this one would probably be the best fit for me. And I was absolutely right. Assembly is easy and once you’ve got it on the Quest 2, you’ll definitely notice an increase in comfort and clarity. The knob on the back ensures that you can adjust it to your perfect fit. It might take me a while to get used to the feeling, but the back cradles the head perfectly and I’ve felt little sway or wobble when I was playing Resident Evil 4 VR. The best thing is I’ve felt little pressure from the Quest 2 itself while using this. The support is REALLY good! Overall I would definitely recommend this strap if you’re looking for something much more comfortable than the stock one.Read more
