The largest magnets in the group are about the diameter of a dime at most. The others are smaller. The small ones are small, about the diameter of a small pencil eraser. They are reasonably strong. Having an assortment is handy. Price is right. They stay where put and do what my wife asks of them, which is more than I can always say about myself. Would I buy them again? I already have.Read more

I was happy to find these on here because I’m tired of paying essentially $0.75 per magnet at the craft store after using a coupon. These were supposed to be similar size but ended up being thin and not quite as big around. The craft store magnets are on the fat side of the 12 x 2mm line, while these are on the thin side. This wouldn’t be a point of contention for me if the magnets’ power was about the same as the others. For reference, one of the craft store magnets can easily hold a small hammer I have. One of these does hold the same hammer up, but it does not hold itself to my metal workbench, and starts sliding downward. Two of these stacked were able to hang on but also slid a bit. They’re also fragile. A couple arrived with chipping, though minor. The problem was after placing and removing the magnet a couple of times, it broke in two and chipped. So, overall, I’m sure I’ll find a use for these. I’m not terribly disappointed because $0.11 per magnet is way better than what I have been paying, especially for so many. They will come in handy for hanging up some lighter metal tools like drill bits and maybe a couple of screwdrivers, but I’ll have to stack or add more to hang anything else like I was hoping. If I glue them to my workbench they might be alright but I’d be concerned about their durability otherwise.Read more

Very solid magnets! I haven’t had any issues with them breaking like others have but I am certain if I were to be careless, they are probably strong enough to break if they impacted each other. I personally don’t really care about the exact size, but they are slightly shorter than the 3mm advertised all across the variation of sizes. So if you need something that is literally 3mm, this won’t work out. Otherwise, this product appears to be very reliable and I don’t have any reasons to not buy another set once I need to.Read more

To keep it short and concise: 1. Thinner than advertised. Supposed to be 2 mm but is actually 1.71 to 1.72 mm. 2. As others have said, and the description warns, they are fragile. Do not separate them and then let them get close enough to each other so that they snap back together. At the very least, they will chip. They could also snap in half. It is best to use them embedded in a supportive shell. 3. They are not as strong as other magnets I have of similar size but they are strong. I suspect they are ceramic ferrite magnets that are nickel plated and NOT neodymium magnets. I have neodymium magnets retrieved from a hard drive that are just as thin but EXTREMELY strong compared to these. 4. About 20% of mine had small chips in the edges. Not a big deal for what I am using them for and acceptable for what they cost. Conclusion: These are good value depending upon what you need them for. If you want neodymium magnets, be prepared to pay more. However, these will work for many applications not needing neodymium magnets. I am giving this one star because of the misleading description as to the thickness. The description shows a photo with a micrometer showing 2 mm but they are actually thinner. Attached are photos showing what I received. They are 12.00 mm in diameter but 1.71 mm in thickness.Read more

I am not usually one to write reviews. These are very strong magnets, but they are very fragile. Good thing you get 100 because they will snap in half just from clicking together. I am a school teacher and passed them out and only got a few that did not break. They should be fine to stick to a fridge and not move, but if you are going to click them apart and together and test them on metalic materials, you are guaranteed to snap them in half with gentle use.Read more

Neodymium magnets are fragile in any form. They arrived in perfect shape, no chips, no cracks. SLIDE them apart don’t pry them apart. I didn’t have any issues. After playing with them and do my experiments minor chipping of the edges had occurred, which was to be expected. They are tiny but very strong, and can be hazardous in children’s hands. When counting them out I would count one, set it on the desk and as I slid the next one off the stack to count it the one (or ones) I had already counted would fly up or shoot off the desk, depending on which way the newly counted one was held, and that was at 12 to 15 inches away from each other! They are very strong little magnets. I set the entire stack on my desk top about 18 inches from my computer monitor and noticed a dis-coloration to a portion of my screen, and that is a shielded HD monitor. The coloration went away just as soon as I moved the stack of magnets. No damgae done but be wary! Did I mention? These are TINY LITTLE MAGNETS and ARE VERY STRONG! Photo included -magnet on an American Penny, magnet is slightly thicker than the penny.Read more

Great price, great product! I am always skeptical when it comes to magnets especially when they can be pretty pricy. I use magnets for a lot of my craft projects and when I needed a thinner magnet but just as strong as the thicker ceramic ones, I honestly chose high quantity – low price and took a chance. These are wonderful. I sew them inside felt for decorative fridge magnets and even with a layer of felt they are pretty strong. This little magnet holds two photos on a fridge very well.Read more

These break quite easily by snapping against themselves. This is very difficult to prevent. Yeah, they work, but not with consistency. You can find better magnets on this site for less money. This is a trash item from a trash company – go figure?Read more

These have a relatively weak pull strength. I bought a pack of these magnets to hold up some light silicon utensils to my fridge. It takes roughly 6 magnets (2 magnets in 2 groups) to hold 150g utensil to my fridge – and that’s just barely. If I even look at the magnets the wrong way it will slide down the fridge. This has been painful, as it’s required me to completely redesign my utensil holder about 5 times now. The lack of pull force means that there isn’t much friction between the magnet and the fridge. Next time I’ll opt for stronger magnets instead, even if they cost a little more. If you are using these to hold papers to your fridge – you should be okay. If you’re using these to place literally anything else to your fridge, expect to use more than expected. And if you DON’T have a stainless steel fridge, don’t even bother – they will slide all over the place.Read more

These tiny little magnets grip with force. I saw other reviews complaining they were not strong enough but decided to buy anyway. I don’t know what those people were expecting from something this small, but I have to think they were unrealistic in their expectations. This is a 12mm x 3 mm magnet (0.5″ x 0.125″). Like a shirt button. in my opinion, they have great holding power for such a small size. Strong enough it’s difficult to pry apart – instead you have to slide them apart. I put one of these on each side of my finger and they gripped each other through the finger. My first use was to glue one to my poppy and then the poppy stayed on with out needing a pin. Poppy doesn’t fall off!Read more

Ordered 100 12×2. They are not the strongest I’ve tried and also they chip and brake easily. Returned them and ordered the 100 6×3. The 3mm width makes them less likely to chip off and break. Hopefully I don’t break any. The 12mm ones are stronger because they are double the diameter. I would have ordered 12×3 but wasn’t available unless I get the mixed size packRead more

As expected, they’re so powerful they may crack and chip, so handle with extreme care, as I’ve already had fragments go flying when faced with opposite polarity. They are an almost perfect size (12×2, just use 3 so it’s 12×6) to make a pair of magnetic therapy rings, which is what I purchased them for, although there are a myriad of other purposes for them. (Incidentally, this set of 100 can make eight pairs!) It’s best to avoid prolonged contact with Nickel on your skin, by the way– use a proxy, like a tissue or something. Or, for rings, some kind of plastic.Read more
