Your options have never been better with Dr. Brown’s natural flow options+ narrow baby bottle. From nipple to base, the options+ bottle makes for a comfortable feeding experience for baby. Starting at the top, each nipple is specially engineered to offer the same consistent, natural flow, so you and baby know what to expect in every feeding. The soft silicone nipple helps baby naturally latch while the anti-colic vent system lets baby feed without fuss. Together, they offer a reliable and trusted bottle feeding experience that makes Dr. Brown’s the No.1 pediatrician recommended bottle in the U.S. But it doesn’t stop there. The anti-colic internal vent system features an enhanced design to improve an already innovative feeding experience: • Clinically proven to reduce colic • Decreases spit-up, burping, and gas • Shown to better preserve nutrients in breast milk and formula • Aids in digestion for a good night’s sleep • Offers a flow rate that supports breastfeeding. It’s Good to have options+ our bottles work best with the vent system in place – but it’s great to have options when baby’s feeding develops. Just remove the vent when you feel it’s time – no need to introduce a different bottle. With the vent system removed, the feeding experience is similar to most nipple-vented bottles. Options+ narrow fits most breast pumps. Dishwasher (top rack) and sterilizer safe. BPA free. 0m+.

Ok, so originally I hated these bottles because they leaked all over. But my baby has had really bad gas and I got desperate. How could there be so many good reviews if they all leak? What am I doing wrong? Turns out, the fill line “do not fill above this line” is obvious once you look for it. The directions “hold at 45 degrees and keep the vent end out of the milk” is much less obvious. Both are definitely complicated to figure out when you haven’t slept properly in months. Bottom line is that they really reduce gas… but be careful how you hold them and fill them to feed you baby. If you’re careful, they work like a charm.Read more

I was given some Browns by a friend and then the nicu recommended them, so that’s why I continued using them with my twins. At first they were great. Over time they started leaking a little. Then it kept getting worse. I googled it and read all the ways you can avoid leaking. Don’t twist it too loose or too tight. Dont go over the leak line. Don’t heat the bottle with the valve, etc. Nothing stopped the leaking. I think it has to do with the quantity of liquid in the bottle, which is why over time the problem got worse as my boys started consuming more in one feeding. Now these bottles make me furious. I’m constantly having to change my twins bc I don’t catch the leak in time or one of my sitters didn’t know you have to unscrew the cap, pull out the valve, then reassemble multiple times during a feed. I get wet. The couch gets wet. The Dr. Browns company should be ashamed of themselves for not fixing the problem as many other parents told me they have the same problem. Also if you plan to breastfeed, these are nothing like a real nipple, essentially setting yourself up for failure. I wish I never started with these as my boys will now only take the bottle.Read more

Words can not describe how mad I am at these bottles. They leak like no tomorrow even when standing upright!! How is that even possible? For 25$ for 4 bottles I am beyond angry. I took my baby out on an errand and packed her breast milk in these bottles. Once it was time to feed her I opened the diaper bag to find these bottles had leaked out ALL my breast milk I had in them. I was mortified. I already have a low breast milk supply and these bottles leaked out all 6 ounces that I was able to produce in order to feed my baby. The bottles were secured in an upright position the entire time and STILL leaked out all my breast milk. I should have listened to all the other reviews. I thought the leaking issues in the reviews were due to user error. NOPE! These bottles suck. For them to be Dr.Browns and expensive I expected so much more. A complete waste of moneyRead more

I don’t write a ton of reviews but this needs to be said. The Options bottles are garbage. I needed to buy some extra bottles so I thought I’d give them a try but they’re worse than the Original in every conceivable way: – You can no longer put in a travel disk to prevent leakage. So forget about throwing these bottles in a bag to go to daycare, the park, anywhere really unless you’re ensuring they stay completely upright. – Vent straw isn’t tight enough and falls off as you put the vent system into the bottle. I mean that literally. It’s like building a ship in a bottle trying to get the thing in there in and keep it assembled. – Nipple collar leaks when the bottle is tipped back upright. – The already hard to clean vent system is even harder to clean on these bottles (more nooks and crannies). I have no idea how this product was ever released. Even if you didn’t use the vent system, the lack of a travel disk and how leaky they are makes the bottle completely worthless. I’m throwing out the vent system so I can buy a couple extra Original vents because at least those are usable.Read more

I have been a loyal Dr. Brown bottle user with both of my children (one born prematurely and very colicky!) and this bottle brand has been my “go-to”. Having compared the original Dr. Brown bottles with the new “options” design, there are some notable differences….albeit subtle, but notable. The most noticeable feature is that change from the original blue vent with beige rubber stopper to the slightly smaller green vent with green stopper. My favorite feature of this new design is that the new vent and stopper secure together with a ridged base and then almost click into the top of the bottle, whereas the older moder required pushing the stopper into the top of the vent and then just resting the vent and stopper in the top of the bottle. I have found the newer design to, not only be easier to put together, but definitely results in less leakage from around the bottle rim. Regarding using the bottle without the vent system, you can do this with the original design, but there is a good amount of leakage. The main difference without the vent system on the new bottle is that the nipple holding piece has a subtle venting on the inside and is more compact design which really eliminates and leaking. The only feature with the new bottle that can be somewhat irritating (depending on the situation) is that the clear bottle cover comes off fairly easily. This is not a bad feature when fumbling to feed a child in the middle of the night, but can be somewhat bothersome when it comes off in a diaper bag or inadvertantly falls and causes your sterile bottle to become contaminated. Overall though, nice changes to an already great product.Read more

I bought one of these bottles from target and have had no problems with it, but for some reason this set of 4 leaks to the point that I can’t use them at all. Very disappointed.Read more

Dr. Browns bottles have been awesome. No colic for our little one. They are a little more involved to clean with many parts. My only complaint is that while they are 4oz bottles, they won’t hold 4oz worth of formula because once you add the powder to the 4oz of water, it exceeds the “Do not full above” line. This will result in leaks from the tiny air vents at the collar of the bottle.Read more

These are the number 1 bottles on my list. I tried the newer style playtex and tippee and some other brand. This bottle only LEAKS IF YOU DO NOT screw the lid on tight. I only have used it with the green pieces inside and it does NOT leak once I turn the lid tight. I’m so happy it came with lids and fits inside my bottle warmer perfect unlike the curved bottles with the big base at the bottom that doesn’t allow my bottles to heat. My daughter loves these and doesn’t suck in air when she’s drinking. She’s a fast sucker and these nipples are perfect. I boiled these 3 times a day until I got a sterilizer and they still look brand new after 3 weeks so far. I will only use this brand from now on.Read more

We bought these bottles out of necessity for our son when he was having gas issues as a newborn. They worked great for about three weeks so I didn’t believe other people were having leaking issues like all the reviews said. After using ours for about three weeks they started leaking and have only continued to get worse. We haven’t changed to any other bottles because this type was already our third try to find a bottle for reducing gas and we didn’t want to spend anymore. But we always have to hold a paper towel or drool rag under the bottle when he feeds so it doesn’t leak all over him and us. We also have to loosen the lids part way through his feed because the milk will travel up the air vent and leak out even more. We have tried all the suggestions from the company website and other people’s reviews to try to stop the leaking issues but nothing works and it’s only gotten worse. We don’t over fill, we don’t warm up the bottles with vents in, we don’t make the lids too tight or loose, we clean all the bottles parts (which is also more work), and we hold the bottles in a way to keep the vent from getting clogged but they leak like crazy every time. I would not recommend these bottles to anyone unless your baby has bad gas issues and even then, you should try to find another gas reducing option as these are a huge pain in the ass. We are just continuing to use them until he can hold his own bottle because we spent so much money on them and the extra premiee nipples and dishwasher basket. once he is holding his own bottle we’ll have to use something different because we won’t be able to stop it from leaking on him.Read more

We already had these bottles but I wanted more to make it easier to rotate. They are not the same quality as the first ones we bought. I even thought they might be knock offs but the packaging looks original. The wet bottle is an old one, it’s hard to see but the print is much better. The new one also has a line in the plastic that the other bottle doesn’t have. There are a few other visual quality differences, I hope they will work as well!Read more

I wasn’t able to breastfeed so This was the first bottle I went to. The flow wasn’t too fast. But as my baby needed more formula the bottles started leaking. They claim you can use them with or without the vent. That is not the case. I have to keep turning the bottle to ensure i don’t have a milk soaked baby and that’s before the nipple even touches his lips. Honestly between the leaking and the nine million pieces you have to clean it’s not worth the money.Read more

Read more
