Earth Rated Dog Poop Bags, Ultra Thick and Leak Proof Dog Waste Bags, Unscented, 225 Count 225 Bags

(26 customer reviews)

MAKING A DIFFERENCE: Our poop bags are made from a blend of PBAT and vegetable starches and meet the ASTM D6400 and EN13432 Standards for compostability. They can be disposed of in a municipal compost facility where pet waste is accepted. These facilities do not exist in many communities so be sure to check locally. When composting at home, be sure not to use the resulting soil on your food crops as it contains poop.

If you need to pick up your dogs business in an aggressive manner, these are the bags for you! If you need a softer to the touch bag, for a delicate hand, these will fit like a glove! Got bigger hands? This bag is big enough! Picking up some mini dog poo? Perfect! Massive sh*tter? Can’t fathom how that came out of your innocent sweet little pup? Thats ok! Don’t think too hard, THESE BAGS CAN HANDLE IT! Worried about the environment, concerned about how long it takes plastic to decompose? Scared about Nemo swimming into a poop bag and never finding his way out?!!! NO NEED! these are compostable!! These bags tick all the boxes! These will forever be apart of my house hold!Read more

Our crack team of canine scientists here at BL are responsible for testing a wide range of products. From durability tests on squeaky toys to palatability of treats, only the best products are selected for our approval. Perhaps no other product is as rigorously tested as the ubiquitous poop bag. These are products we use every day, sometimes more than once If some other test goes awry. With the help of our human lab assistants, Dr. Dream and Professor Strut evaluate the following criteria: 1. Ease of opening. Our lab assistants are tasked with testing how quickly they can open a bag under varying conditions, from a simple “we’ll stop and wait while you pick it up” to “let’s both run in opposite directions while you’re trying to open the bag on a windy day.” The amount of cursing is graded, and the results are weighted by the percentage of four-letter words. 2. Durability. We test the strength of bags by depositing test waste in areas that include items of varying levels of shapes, from leaves to small twigs and stones. If the bag can survive a one-handed grab-and-go without incurring “poo hand”, it is considered durable. See above criteria on cursing and language scoring. 3. Environmental friendliness. While we want our poops to make a statement, we don’t want them to lie around in the trash forever. Biodegradability is a must, and no bag passes if it doesn’t eventually return to nature. But not too soon, of course. Based on our rigorous criteria, these bags are now our favorite, and we have no issues recommending them to any other basenji. Of course, other dogs can use them as well, since we know our standards are most likely the highest there are. A note from the human lab assistants: We really do like these bags. Because nobody wants poo hand, least of all us.Read more

I’ve been trying to contact the seller but it looks like I have to go through here. I purchased these in January. I’ve TRIED to use most of the rolls but all but 1 have not been sealed properly and poop literally falls through them. I use them for my cats litter and they will open from the bottom spilling litter and poop everywhere as I’m walking them to the trash can. I’m really disappointed and was hoping I could talk with someone from the store to see about getting a replacement or something – but so far my experience with this product would be that i will not be ordering it again. Be careful of the seal on the bottom. They can make a mess.Read more

We previously used a corn-based product for years but that company was not interested in getting their compostable certification, so when our city started offering composting that includes pet waste we decided to give these a try. They’re plenty large enough for even a big dog (ours is 50 pounds, and doesn’t come close to filling it), very sturdy even when wet/have sat for a few days, easy to tear on the roll but doesn’t tear down the bags, and a pleasant enough color so that we don’t have to look to closely at the contents. Love the unscented option as we are scent-sensitive for added fragrances and don’t want that around. All in all, buy them and you’ll be happy.Read more

I am sooo pleased with these bags and they’re a great deal. Hated the idea of using nonbiodegradable bags. However, by the nature of them being biodegradable (it’s a feature, not a bug), you definitely should keep them stored in a cool, dry place. Sometimes on a hot day, they melt a little and are hard to open. That said, I’ve yet to have one tear while I was trying to open it, so I think the quality is quite good. They are very thick, deep, durable and keep the odor in. These will always be my go-to bags for doggo.Read more

The bags don’t do a great job at holding in the stink, however knowing I’m not throwing out a 100 plastic bags a month is nice. At first the texture of them was a little weird, but I got past that. The sticker that they use to seal the roll is amazing! They come right off and you never have to rip a bag trying to get the sticker off. I do wish they had some sort of scent block in them but I will take a pooie smelling trash can over throwing out plastic bags. The feel thin to the touch, but we haven’t had a break-through yet! Definitely a good value for your money, and a lot easier of a way to cut down on plastic use!Read more

The first order of these were great! They have a big volume, and few bags were hard to open or had defects. I reordered as soon as I got low. The new ones are nearly impossible to get open, even without gloves. I spent at least five minutes the other day trying to get one open! I don’t know what the difference is, but if all the new rolls are like the first one, I will need to replace the whole box because it’s so frustrating!Read more

I love these bags! I walk my dog several times a day, so needless to say, we go through a lot of these. I feel like they are very similar in quality and “sturdiness” to the standard non-compostable bag, and I feel much better knowing I’m not wasting plastic every time! I was worried they wouldn’t hold up and had this weird fear that they would disintegrate after a few minutes, or that because it’s not plastic that my hand would bust through, but this is not the case! They last long enough on my hour long walks to make it to a trash can, have never ripped on me, and can be tied to the leash without ripping.Read more

Had been using the “earth rated” lavender bags, but they were reviewed as not actually compostela. So switched to these. Advertised as tie-handled. This is not the case. They also don’t feel as strong and the snell of poo permeates through the bag. Not a nice feel when picking up the poo but haven’t had any leaks as yet. Not entirely 100% happy with my purchase and will be looking for an alternative bag that doesn’t let the snell of poo linger whilst you’re on a walk.Read more

All plastic is technically biodegradeable as it breaks down over time and there are microbes that eat it. Only buy COMPOSTABLE bags!!! These are a little large to fit into their standard bag holder, but after one or two bags are out it’s fine. Bargain for the quantity.Read more
