This freestanding place value flip chart features 7 sets of flip tabs. One side of the cards features numbers 0-9 while the other side features decimal places to the thousandths, showing the numbers 0000.001 to 9999.999. The flip chart is ideal for teaching place value, counting by ones, tens, hundreds, thousands and millions. I rarely write reviews but this product has earned it!! Mom of 4 who has a plethora of Homeschool and afterschool curriculum and manipulatives. Yes this product has the place values up to the millionths as shown, but also has the backside that has decimals and their place values to the thousandths. This product is great for 1st through 7th graders and with both visual and kinesthetic learners. A quick game we played was to have the student/child flip the numbers for me to read then I change up and have them read. Invaluable for place values and decimal visualization.Read more
Not Funny –
For a product designed with one primary function – flipping numbers – this product is a miserable failure. The metal rings are too tight and the cardboard pages are always getting stuck. Flipping numbers requires two hands and a lot of patience each time. Taking five seconds to carefully separate the pages from themselves each time, then flip them back and smooth them out so neighboring pages on both sides don’t stick out is a total pain and diminishes learning because of the delay and because you need to grab this thing from in front of the kid and man handle it to change a number.Read more
