I really hate to point this out but I need to and hopefully someone can clarify. I was super excited to see I could order my favorite coffee from Amazon prime. This brand of coffee really is the best. I normally but this from Walmart.com – I ordered the original here on Amazon first . The bag felt different. The glue that sealed the bag was different. Thinking it was just a fluke I decided to order the Brazilian breakfast ( my fave) and unfortunately it felt the same exact way. The feeling of the bag in your hands is different and it was glue sealed . I compared it to a bag that I got from Walmart.com and I’m sorry to say IT IS NOT THE SAME . It doesn’t smell fresh . The glue inside the seal was about an inch and a half long directly in the middle towards the top . If any of you have opened an original bag of coffee you know it’s vacuum sealed and it’s equal all around and you slowly pull it apart to open . This was hard to get into . I’m so disappointed. You never know who you’re really buying from on Amazon . All I can picture is some people pouring cheap coffee into eight o’clock bags and then glueing the bags shut lol . Maybe that’s extreme but something isn’t right ! Back to Amazon this goes .Read more

I like 8 o’clock coffee because when I think that life can’t possibly get any better I open my cabinet to see the bright red bags glistening in the fluorescent light and my heart skips a beat, my legs get a little weak, and my mouth begins to salivate like one of Pavlov’s dogs. It is like winning the lottery on a beautiful spring day. It is an example of all that is good in the world. The only thing that could make it better would be if one of the fine makers of this fabulous coffee came over each morning to brew it and serve it to me in bed, but last I checked that service is not yet available with Amazon Prime.Read more

I’ve always enjoyed light-to-medium roast coffees with smooth, full-bodied flavor, but no bitterness or acid. It is a hard combination to find. Many light and medium roast coffees are lacking in flavor, or are acidic. Dark roasts are right out because of their burnt, bitter, over-roasted taste which covers up the coffee flavor itself. Eight O’Clock Original Roast ground coffee fits the bill nicely, hitting all of my requirements. If you are looking for those same qualities (I find that many who grew up on the East Coast or in the Midwest enjoy that same diner/donut shop/restaurant style coffee), then you should also enjoy this Eight O’Clock Original Roast. Other ground, bagged coffees with similar qualities are Gevalia Traditional or Columbia roasts, and Chock Full O’ Nuts Original roast, if you want to try some others, as well. (Although, CFoN can be a little acidic.)Read more

I was a lil scared at first, but I am loving this. EOC struck gold once again. And since I haven’t seen this or the lovely Mocha Macchiato in stores, Amazon will become my official coffee supplier from now on. 10/10Read more

Sadly, after all these years, I have become something of a coffee snob, but not a gourmet-type snob, just a regular-joe snob. Would not give a quarter for a cup of Starbuck’s coffee, but I do like this stuff. I put five well rounded measuring device portions and eleven cups of water in each batch of coffee I make with Eight O’Clock ground coffee and it makes ten ups of coffee in the caraffe. It is strong and full bodied enough for me and I drink it all day. It does not get bitter when heated for 120 seconds in the microwave later in the day. Good flavor, too. I do like it.Read more

This my second time buying and loving a flavored coffee. First was from here but, I can’t remember the brand name. It was a yellow bag though, with chocolate mocha flavored coffee. That one and THIS coffee is Awesome!. Others I’ve tried were a total waste of money and time. But I do recommend this brand and flavor. I hired but the 100% Colombian 8 o’clock coffee from a grocery awhile waiting for this. Before that I’d never had this brand of coffee. Now I’ll buy it all the time. 1 last thing, it IS stronger than the Aldi’s Donut shop brand drip coffee and Nescafe instant coffees I’M used to so maybe try a little less than you normally put in your coffee maker.Read more

If you want coffee you can read a newspaper through, I guess you could make it weak enough. We like robust coffee with good flavor and no bitterness, then you may like this. We would be unwilling to buy anything else, we have and after many good deal tries, just settled in to the Columbian peaks.Read more

I love this coffee for many reasons. 1) simply good coffee, no bad after taste or too acidic. Just good coffee from a really good supplier. 2) This brand has so many flavors and different options and they are all fantastic. I have never had a bad experience from this brand of coffee. 3) be smart about buying this coffee, the prices fluctuate so I feel like a stock broker. Sometimes the price is right, sometimes I literally wait and it changes the very next day. This coffee rivals something you would pay 5 bucks for. Now, no fancy machines needed you can do it all on your own and never go wrong.Read more

Today I received this package. It was $30 for 11 oz of coffee, and for some unknown reason, this purchase is not eligible for return. I believed that I was ordering the 42 oz bag, and am shocked to only receive 11 oz for this price. Not impressed.Read more

Bought the Eight O’Clock Dark Italian Espresso Ground Coffee 32 ounce. Taste Burnt, Bitter, Flat and has no Aroma (was mine already stale? likely!). I made it through a Moka pot, Cold brew and Coffee drip machine, they all tasted terrible. I threw out the rest after that.Read more
