Same as OEM. Very nice savings over buying the OEM part from the stealership and paying absurd labor to have it installed. It is a 3 minute job literally, child’s play. Should be noted that the stock Hyundai/ Kia branded filter that my car came with new is also a carbon filter like this one. I did not know that initially, when I pulled out the original one to inspect it, it was black and I freaked out and how filthy it was. Turns out it was black because of the carbon. The original one was full of dust, twigs, bugs and small flowers from the tree I park under so after 1 year+ and 17k miles, it was time to change it, just in time for the summer AC season. I will note one small difference from the OEM filter- both filters have plastic stiffeners on each side to add rigidity. The stiffeners on this replacement filter are a little stiffer, which is a good thing. Amazon reviews for another similar filter sold here contain complaints that the replacement filter is very soft and it buckles when you insert it. This does not, perfect fit. This is the one you want.Read more

I bought both the activated carbon version of this filter, and the standard version. This is the activated carbon version. The manufacturer messed mine up, big time. Instead of the activated charcoal being on the Inlet side of the filter, the filter was marked for the activated carbon to be on the Outlet side of the filter. This isn’t just a minor problem. It means that if I installed the filter according to the “Air Flow” markings, my wife and I would be breathing coal dust. Anyone from Tennessee or Virginia will tell you that breathing coal dust is a health hazard. The easy solution is to ignore the “Air Flow” arrows and install the filter using common sense. – Here is the problem. Were my filters marked incorrectly at the factory? If these filters were incorrectly marked by the factory, your filter might be marked right. – Here is how to tell the difference. Look at both sides of the filter. Find the side that is the darkest. That is the TOP of the filter and you are looking at the Inlet side of the filter. Turn it over to the paler, lighter, and less dark side of the filter. That is the BOTTOM of the filter and you are looking at the Outlet side of the filter. Ignore what the “Air Flow Arrow” says. Install the filter the way that protects you and your passengers from inhaling coal dust. That means “dark side on top, and pale side on bottom”. – What am I going to do with these filters? I paid for them. Seems a shame to let them go to waste. I suppose they will be cut to fit my cat’s litter box filter holder, and used to deodorize the cat box. I certainly don’t want my wife and I to breathe coal dust. – Good news is just this; Amazon sells the Premium Guard PC4013 and the F1 Auto FC36179 non-carbon filters that are perfect. See my reviews of those products, since I bought them on Amazon, too. You can add the carbon pre-filter material yourself onto the Inlet side of these filters. I use the 3M cut-to-fit material that has a foam filter layer bonded to the carbon layer. Amazon sells a similar cut-to-fit material in the Home Air Conditioning Filter department. It makes the filter a snug fit, but it also guarantees that the charcoal is on the Inlet side, with a layer of foam filter, and the Premium Guard or F1 Auto paper filter below it.Read more

I read an article on additional ways to save money, changing your air filter to get better gas mileage was included in the article. I am not one to work on cars, but I’ve ventured outside the box (a little bit), so I looked into changing my air filter. I read up, checked You Tube and read reviews on these filters. The mere fact that I purchased the air filter began the process. Insomuch as the reviews clearly noted how much money was saved by changing your air filter yourself. If you too are a Kept Woman, believe me, You Can Do This. It took me all of 19 minutes to complete the process. Yes 19 minutes and the delay had more to do with my examining the dirty filter once I took it out. My husband was shocked to say the least. The instructions on the box were clear and precise, The air filter fit like a glove and the quality of the air filter matched the reviews I read prior to making the purchase. This was not a hard task. Ladies, you CAN DO THIS and ultimately save money in the long run. I highly recommend this product. And yes, I am an actual customer who pays attention to reviews. Hopefully, this will not only help you with your decision to make the purchase, but it will also liberate you into stepping outside the box (a little bit).Read more

When it comes to air filters, my biggest complaint is filters that almost fit perfectly. They are either a little too big and get crumpled when inserted, or they are a bit to small and rattle around, not filtering all of the air. This is not a problem with the EP Auto filter. This is the perfect size for my 2016 Santa Fe Sport. It includes an easy to read air flow arrow on the side along with instructions on the box as to which way to point the arrow. The complete filter change took less than a minute, and that includes the time required to lower the glove box to gain access to the filter housing. Pros: * Simple to change. * The embedded charcoal stays put and does not fall off the filter. * Provides great airflow. * Removes all smells. * Good price compared to the dealership. Cons: * None yet. I recommend this filter and will update the rating at my next scheduled auto service after seeing how it held up over time.Read more

Good one… Bought a used car recently. Previous owner was a smoker. So obviously the smell stayed in the car no matter how much we cleaned the interior, added air freshener. But once the filter was changed it was drastic change… Smoke particles get stuck in the filter over the time and the air blowing through it will have that smell even if we don’t continue to smoke inside the car… So a definite thing to be done to your car to keep the interior fresh and clean… And that too regularly…every 12000Km as experts say…Read more

Fit perfectly just like the OEM one did but I prefer these ones over OEM since there is charcoal in these and not in the OEM ones from the dealer. Charcoal is good at filtering out odours. Also much cheaper than the OEM one from the dealer too!Read more

This is exactly what was required. Excellent value for money compared to other potential vendors. But still can’t understand why car cabin filters are so expensive. Had this installed into our KIA 2020 Sedona in less than a minute. Much less than the $80 dealership was trying on ! Will be buying again.Read more

Used this to replace the cabin filter in my 2016 Santa Fe. I looked up how to do it online, ordered the filter and did the job in 10 minutes, saving myself $$$ at the dealership service dept.Read more
