This cable looks cool and it is definitely bright orange. It seems durable but it gets tangled pretty easily. there was some crackling as soon as I plugged it in for the first time and it’s happened a few times since. There also seems to be a little bit of signal loss, my guitar sounds a little thinner, like some of the low end is not getting through. it’s not much, but it is barely noticeable. I expected a little bit better quality at this price point. I have a 10 year old, plastic coated peavey cable that works flawlessly and cost about half as much.Read more

Great guitar cables, sound great and are pretty durable because of the braided outer. Best part for me is the color selection, and the colors in general. The reason I picked these is because my band members like to “borrow” cables and I never see them again, with the distinct colors of these there will be no more confusion if they are mine or not. I got a neon orange, neon yellow, and neon pink and I really dig the colors. They sell less in your face colors if that is more your style. The cables are great and are a pretty good price for the quality, Ernie Ball makes quality gear and I’ve never had a problem with any Ernie Ball product before. They also come with cable ties attached to keep them nice and tidy. Would recommend to anyone who keeps getting their cables snatched, or for anyone looking for a good quality cable at a decent price.Read more

I bought this cable to replace a 15-year-old Fender cable that didn’t look so hot on the connectors. I really didn’t think this could be true, but it was. You have to replace old cables. The sound I got from this new cable was fantastic. Much cleaner and purer sounding then the old cable it replaced. The price for this cable was a little higher than preferred. But, I’ll try to suffer through my rather improved sound.Read more

After exclusively using Spectraflex cables for over a decade, I decided to switch brands when they switched from using G&H 1/4″ plugs to cheaper components. So far this Ernie Ball cable seems well built and sturdy enough, the connectors are hefty and don’t seem cheap, and I’ve had no issues with RFI. The outer braiding is also really nice. I’d definitely get another one when in need.Read more

American made, high quality, gold ends, nothing left to complain about. I wanted to test the limits of a cord’s length from guitar to amp to see if there was any loss or crackle. Most guys say 25 ft. is the limit, and I can tell you that this 25 footer is the goods.Read more

I use a POD500 direct into a janky house system on Sunday morning. So I can’t vouch for tone and/or tone loss with this cable. I can tell you that it works. Sometimes my cable would walk away from me and it would take a while to find it. Mainly the reason I got this is because of the color, length, 1 straight and 1 angled connector, and the weave covering. The construction is pretty sturdy. Depending on the guitar I use I’ll plug in with either the straight end or angled. I mostly use the angled connector in my guitar. All that to say, the cable gets switched around now and then. If this cable walks off, it should be easy to find due to the color.Read more

not ernie ball’s fault. I purposely bought the gold version for the performance. I just can’t stand looking at the gold input sticking out of my guitars. silver looks sooooo much better. then, I don’t know why. but the cable easily gets twisted, and hard to keep straightened. never had a cable be like that. and I’m just at home. unfortunately, I don’t have a strong enough ear to know if a non-gold version….and different cable would perform any different. but still. I don’t regret this purchase.Read more

My original generic guitar cables developed “static” from swiveling in the jack. I got the Ernie Ball cables which solved the problem immediately and (apparently) permanently. They are a bit pricey, but in electronics elements of this type, you get what you pay for, so ultimately…they are worth the little extra they cost.Read more

First of all, this cable is not *really* better than any other cable at a similar price – any guitar cable at £20+ should be perfectly good and they certainly don’t sound any different! This cable however, is very well built, does not tangle easily, comes with a cable tidy to keep it coiled up, comes with a great guarantee BUT, most importantly; it’s the brightest, orangest orange cable you’ve ever seen. If you need a bright orange cable and absolutely nothing else will satisfy your neon cable cravings, you know what to do.Read more

This is a very good quality and sturdy lead. The colour means that you are unlikely to leave it anywhere, but you do get used to it! The jacks are firmly attached and are of a good quality. The lead has a good resistance to snapping or accidentally breaking or kinking the core material. It has a useful velcro loop that you can use to keep it tidy. Not the cheapest but also nowhere near the cost of the most expensive leads and the sound quality is top notch. There was an instantly noticeable difference in sound quality between this and my old lead. Very well built, should last for years and highly recommended.Read more

I recommend this cable, it cost more than other brands, comparing with a Planet Waves and Fender cables this one is my favorite. Sounds great, improved my tone and now I can play even better 🙂 (not really, but its shiny color inspires me to play). Have used it just for a couple of hours so far, looks like it will last forever, I only play at home for my own entertainment. It has a lifetime warranty. I am happy with it.Read more

100% Perfect, Well engineered cable with beautiful end fittings. What can i say it’s another quality product from Ernie Ball the guitar cable is nice and thick (7-8mm) it has good quality end fittings as to be expected. It’s pretty much tangle free compared to other brands and a fraction of the price. Sound quality is excellent as to be expected, no horrible static when plugging leads in.

This just transformed the way my bass sounds through headphones and the amp, from a lot of noise and interference to a clean crisp sound. Solid cable with nice connectors and materials.Read more
