If you’re diligent like I was, you’ll find this 2-pack of sandbags from Esignmill. Amazon sellers seem to have a “thing” for 4-packs, or even 6 or 8-packs of these things for some reason. So–bonus points to Esingmill for offering up a 2-pack. Hard to find, but worth it in my opinion. Basically, these are saddlebag style sandbags–meaning each sandbag has “two” compartments connected in the middle via a carry handle. They’re made of nylon, and feel durable. No complaints there. On one side, there’s yellow stripes–which I wanted–to alert people to the fact that there’s a sandbag there–and to not trip over it. Nice feature. On the other side, they’re just plain black–so if yellow stripes aren’t your thing, just flip ’em around–stripes hidden–problem solved. I bought a 50lb bag of sand from Home Depot, and used about 2/3ds of that sand to fill these sandbags. I brought them into my photo studio, and use them to secure my light stands. I’ve got some pretty heavy light rigs–giant modifiers–that sort of thing. These sandbags anchor them down perfectly. My only complaint (and this is probably just me being picky) is the zipper design they used. There’s two zippers per sandbag–one for each side of the saddlebag. You unzip, fill with sand, then zip them shut. My gripe is there’s only just that single zipper holding the sand inside–no inner flap–no lining–nothing to prevent sand from inadvertently spilling out of the end of the zipper opening if it’s not closed all the way. And even if you’re meticulous, and you zip it all the way shut–there’s still a tiny gap where sand can pour out. I actually thought about lining these sandbags with one gallon zip-lock bags, so I’d worry less about spilling sand everywhere. I might still do it if I have any mishaps. If they’d have installed an inner zipper and an outer zipper (both zipping in opposite directions) that would have been a little better than this. Now–mind you–this is truly a minor gripe–not a glaring product defect or anything. I just have to be watchful that I keep my sandbags “upright”, so I don’t accidentally pour sand all over my photo studio floor when moving these things. Overall, these are good, durable, functional sandbags–with nice visible yellow/black striping–that came in a 2-pack–just the right amount. I recommend.Read more

It’s amazing, to me, that there is no standardization of sewer line access fittings for RV parks: Stay in ten parks, experience ten different hookup fittings to your site sewer line. With those different hookups, there is always a great chance that your connection will come oozing off the same once things get to flowing. Yuck, and you may get fined for cleanup. These great sandbags stop that from happening. First, buy this pair. Next, buy some pea gravel and gallon ziploc baggies. Fill the baggies and place them on either side of each sandbag. Now, when you hook up, use these bags to weigh down your sewer line fitting. It’ll stay put if you do things right, even when you’re lifting your slinky to empty it out, even when you’re running a hose into it to further clean it. What a pleasure! I use a Y connector at my terminal end, since I have a rear galley tank. Draping these two bags over the Y holds it very tight and firm. If you only have one slinky, you may still want to buy a Y, cap one arm, and then use it like I do. Highly Recommended!Read more

Just received two of these and they are worthless. The material is not durable and they will tear upon the first impact of any sharp (or maybe even not so sharp) object. Wish I had just reordered the ones I had gotten in the past that are really made from canvas and designed for rugged use. These are almost “one use” sand bags. The material is the very flimsy and will not hold up. Very disappointed.Read more

I bought the 2-pack of these with mixed results. One is great and has no issues, but the other one leaks sand out the bottom seam. Not a lot, but enough that I needed to cover the bottom with gaffer tape. It works better when you don’t move it much, but who doesn’t move around a sandbag?Read more

Great colors, nice that they include carabineers. Would have just wished to see double-zippers like other similar sandbags. Great choice for a budget!Read more

Using these to hold down a plant stand by the front door. High quality fabric with covered zippers and a carabiner clip to help keep it in place. Before filling pockets with sand, I put a zip-lock plastic gallon bag inside to make filling and emptying easier.Read more

Instead of sand I bought some pebbles for plants to put in these bags. It take less room and there is lesser chance of making a mess vs. when using sand.Read more
