The media could not be loaded. Now I must say I’m not an audiophile, never claimed to be. But I want to be heard and sound good when you are listening to me. That is where the K690 comes into play. The Fifine K690 is a condenser USB Microphone that features four pick up patterns: Cardiod, Bidirectional, Omnidirectional, and Stereo. My favorite feature of this microphone is being able to quickly mute myself if I need to cough, sneeze, or whatever. Sometimes it’s the little things that matter. I appreciate the button turning red to let me know my microphone is muted. When I want to rejoin the conversation/content, I simply press the button to unmute myself and the light turns from red to green. The second feature that I enjoy is the pick up pattern. For the most part, I’m probably going to stay in the cardiod pick up pattern simply because that makes sense for videos I make on YouTube. If I ever want to interview someone, I will switch it over to the bidirectional pattern. Other features including plugging your headphone into the microphone to monitor the low latency audio. This will allow you to get a preview of how you sound prior to recording. Additional features include being able to turn up the gain of the microphone and adjusting the volume inside your headphones. This microphone is definitely a keeper for me and I have used it in subsequent videos I made on YouTube.Read more

This microphone is seriously awesome. There are quite a few USB microphones out there, and Fifine has made an excellent one. I already own the Blue Yeti and I wanted to see how this compared, as the features (and looks) seems pretty comparable. In most categories, the Fifine microphone is actually a clear winner! Here is a quick pros and cons list. WHERE THE FIFINE K690 WINS: – Quality and feel of buttons and knobs – Price WHERE THE BLUE YETI WINS: – Live monitor audio quality – Includes a pop filter – Overall reliability WHERE THEY ARE EQUAL: – Audio recording quality – High quality weighted stand Let me explain some of those things. So firstly, the audio quality is basically identical. Except if you’re a major audio snob – but then why are you buying a USB microphone? I would say maybe the Blue Yeti has a very slight “warm” tone by comparison but this is something that can be easily compensated for in editing and is not really a measure of quality. The biggest PRO to me of the K690 is the buttons. I absolutely hate the buttons and knobs on the Blue Yeti. The Yeti’s mute button only works about half the time, but the K690 has a springy button with plenty of feedback. Plus, the light changes color to show it’s muted, unlike the flashing vs. static red light on the Yeti. The knobs also tend to turn a lot more comfortably. The Yeti’s mode knobs require a lot of force to change. Otherwise, the layout is the same on both microphones, but the K690’s are far more comfortable! Where the Fifine K690 fails for me is the live monitoring. As in, when you plug in a pair of headphones so you can hear what is being picked up by the mic. The quality of the live monitoring is significantly lower than the quality of audio actually being recorded. And that also goes for using it as a playback device for your computer. Audio sounds a bit tinny and like there is a bit of reverb. On top of that, the headphone jack is not the most reliable. I often need to spin my headphone jack around to get it the perfect ideal spot in the output hole, otherwise I only get audio out of one ear. It’s possible I got a bad unit, and that this is not the case across all models. I also don’t believe this is a deal-breaker to most people buying this. I have pretty high standards for headphones, so this affected me more. And my solution is just to not use this monitoring feature and just use the microphone as a microphone. I have used it for ASMR, Discord calls while gaming, and work calls, and it has performed well. I actually have this mounted to my desk for easy use, while my Blue Yeti gets used in a more soundproof area for recording voice-overs. So, this will definitely be a microphone I use often. And for around $30 less than the Blue Yeti, I think it is a very good purchase! I have previously used and reviewed a $30 Fifine USB mic and decided that it had an amazing level of sound quality for the price, so it’s no surprise that the K690 was also amazing.Read more

Alright, this microphone really nails it on the head for $100. Here’s a quick breakdown: -Extremely clear audio when played back -No distortion of my own voice -Reflects true to how I actually sound like in real life -Perfect for zoom meetings and class lectures. -Easily picks up audio from a distance away. I started using it this week and my classmates and my friends noticed a drastic change in audio quality to the point where they became doubtful I was the same person behind the mic. For $100 I said this was well worth it, I upgraded from a headset that has a microphone and I can say that there is truly a noticeable difference. If you are a student like me or if you are a teacher I would highly suggest this mic.Read more

Fifine k690 is an awesome microphone for content creators. I personally bought this microphone for doing voiceover and live streaming. I was really impress with the sound quality and also the build quality. You can easily compare fifine k690 performance with more expensive usb condenser microphone like blue yeti. You get the similar options for less money. Fifine k690 comes with three condenser capsules so perfect for most recording situation. Also this microphone comes with multiple pattern selection options like Stereo, Cardioid, Omnidirectional and Bidirectional. You also get a headphone jack so you can monitor your audio while recording. You don’t need an external audio interface. Just plug and play. Perfect fit for podcast, interview, live streaming, gaming, singing and voiceover. I highly recommend this microphone.Read more

how to make an almost perfect device qualify for a return? with the right amount of ‘almost’ of course. looks great, great build quality, feels solid, comes in a great package. all nullified by a USB port that fits so loose. half of the micro USB cable’s pin sticks out of the USB port. having gotten used to snug fitting cables, this one that barely fits is a shocker. this is disservice for the product which looks premium otherwise. couldn’t risk cable falling out in the middle of a meeting. had to return. also, when the entire world has moved to USB C, this one is for keeps with micro USB from prior 2015. don’t understand this design choice for fifine’s flagship. thought a company that makes only microphones knows what they are doing. thanks amazon for arranging a quick return.Read more

Product is good, people at the other end can hear us loud and clear. I use it for my Zoom calls, so far it is good with one major drawback(USB connector). USB connector which connects to the microphone doesn’t fit in completely, it will hang outside almost half of the pin stays outside. Slight touch/movement will cause the microphone to disconnect from the PC/Laptop. It is really frustrating to have a microphone which cannot be touched or moved or adjusted during any calls, otherwise it will reconnect, sometimes USB drivers may get corrupted and machine had to be restarted.Read more

The audio quality is good. Sounds just how a condenser mic should. Noise cancellation is alright; but condenser mics pickup background noise so make sure you’re in a quiet place. The packaging was incredible; and the quality of stand and cable is also supreme. The Mic is lightweight and made of thin metal. The buttons and knobs are of average quality. Overall THE BEST ALTERNATIVE to the Blue Yeti. Gives great audio for almost half the price.Read more
