   Bummer. It appears that we received 6-Mead Notebooks, single subject, wide ruled, 90 pages. We are about 4 stars short of Five Star notebooks; we are also about 10 pages short on each notebook; and I believe we are several lines short on each page. We had to wait an extra 2 weeks to order before school started and received these items 1 week after school started. Amazon will only refund monies AFTER they receive the wrong items in return. We cannot even exchange them and have them send the correct notebooks. Boo.Read more

   I needed a few 8 x 11 college-ruled notebooks suitable for hand-writing a manuscript draft. These will be good for that: they’re large enough so I can write on every other line on one page and make notes and comments on the facing page. PROS: The covers are stiff enough to make them easy to use on your lap, and the colors are cheerful. (Some reviewers have complained that the “pink” one is “dark” and more like purple. It’s not purple but a shocking pink rather than a pastel pink, which is the color shown on the product page.) The spiral binding is small enough not to interfere with page-turning, the two pockets provide plenty of room to store notes or even a pen or pencil, and the pages tear off cleanly at the margins. CONS: I wish the paper were heavier, brighter, smoother, and less floppy– Clairefontaine notebooks have spoiled me for anything else. Still, it’s substantial enough for everyday use, the lines are easy to see, and the ink from a retractable ballpoint pen won’t bleed through. (It does, however, leave a slightly raised mark on the reverse side; I wouldn’t recommend using a fountain or gel pen with paper of this weight.) BOTTOM LINE: Given how expensive ordinary 8 x 11 3-hole spiral notebooks have become, this is about as good a value as I’ve found: ca. $6.80 per notebook at the time of this writing (ca. $21 for all three). Unless you’re very finicky and/or prepared to spend $15 for a 20-lb. paper notebook, this one has more pros than cons.Read more

   Works great with fountain pens. While most in the fountain pen community would consider it a mass sin to use “low grade paper” This works well for me. As a lefty and student I used this and could not complain. Get it, works for school, random ideas, hopes, dreams, letters, confessions, lists, checklists, unchecked lists, drawing on lined paper, and even an uncomfortable pillow in a boring class!Read more

   I used to be able to write in these no problem and use the other page. Now it seems like they made these even thinner and it’s obvious as I can see through the pages. It sucks that this is happening as making thicker pages actually saves on paper as we use both sides.Read more

   We have been buying 5 star now for a few years, since the kids started high school. These are the notebooks to have. The paper is a little thicker than most notebooks which is nice because you don’t have that impression mark of what you wrote on the next page. The pages are perforated so you get that nice clean edge instead of that ratted up edge. It has an organizer folder in the notebook itself which is good for getting school handouts or getting back graded homework. The Front and back cover of the notebook are like a plastic so they wipe up easily. There is only 1 little gripe that I have and it’s about the price.. Normally they’re $5 a piece, I have 3 Teenagers that have 6 classes each. It adds up fast so I wish these would go on more bundle deals prices.Read more

   The notebook definitely isn’t the “bright” pink you see in the ad photos. I have a picture next to an actual bright pink item from them. The notebook is more of a purple, which is really disappointing because I color code my notebooks and folders for class. I give them 4 stars though because they are a good notebook, I’ve used them in the past. Just a little annoyed the pink isn’t what is advertised.Read more

Yo compré el paquete de tres libretas en colores verde, azul y gris de 100 hojas, y la parte positiva, es que son más grandes que una libreta “normal”,su portada es de plástico y tiene un bolsillo interno para guardar hojas, la parte “negativa”, es que las hojas son delgadas y se arrugan fácilmente,además que la contra portada es de un cartón frágil.     Cuadernos de muy buena calidad, es un paquete de 6 de colores variados (los mismo colores que aparecen en la imagen), el papel es de buena calidad y no se traspasa la tinta lo suficiente como para ser un problema, son un poco más grandes que un cuaderno convencional pero siguen siendo prácticos y perfectos para tomar notas en la universidad. El precio me pareció increíble, no le doy las 5 estrellas porque hubo un pequeño problema con el envió pero este se resolvio muy rápido y solo llegaron unos 3 días después de lo programado.     the sheets are so thin and almost see-through – it is a shame as the product claims good quality however the most important feature in a notebook is a total miss in this case, especially with this size of sheets the paper quality should be more robust. it feels very frail; the colors in this set are gorgeous, the size is great, the covers firm and solid. but the sheets …. it is like buying beautifully looking food, that doesn’t taste good.Read more
