my mom has used it in her house and i just had to get my hands on some. i live in an apartment and sometimes i just hate calling maintenence for simple things llike a clogged drain and i really preffer not to use drano especially with two toddlers. we are a family of four and all have long hair and this comes really in handy. I needed to clear a likely hair clog, but don’t like using chemicals. Also I’m in an older building and the landlord is worried about the plumbing. I saw this on Amazon and decided to try it. Got it this afternoon. Opened the box right away, put it together, went at the drain, and cleared it within a couple minutes. The only thing that made it take longer than 30 seconds was that it worked so well at the first go, I had to stop and grab gloves and a plastic bag to contain the massive and super disgusting black clump of rotting hair that the device pulled up. I put it down one more time and got another, smaller clump. I tried about 3 more times and nothing else came up so it was clear. And the bonus is, because the rod part is disposable (the order comes with 3 disposable rods), I was able to just bag it with the hair and toss it in the trash. I’m so glad I didn’t have to clean it for reuse cos it was soooo gross.Read more

I am pretty impressed with this labor saver. If your sinks or tub are clogged with hair, this tool will help. The best part is that I don’t need to remove the drain stopper. This tool can be weaseled down beside the stopper and will tenaciously engage a hair wad. Sometime the wad must pulled apart to get it past the stopper. My favorite part is when my grandkids gag at the sight of the hair wad. The business end can be replaced or, with patience, cleaned.Read more

It cleaned my sink drain in seconds and was easy to use. I was a little skeptical of how well it would work since the “velcro” is only at the end (I’m used to using a zip-it, which has the plastic spikes all the way up but doesn’t fit as well in a sink with a stopper) but it was surprisingly effective. The only con is that you can really only use this once if you have a clog because it is not easy to clean off. I ended up using 2 of these on one clog so I was grateful that 3 came and I’ll definitely buy replacements.Read more

The tip is small enough to fit in the shower grate so I don’t have to pry it open. Catches hairball and held onto hairball like a dream. One thing that I had problem with is it comes apart during use too easily. To assemble, you pull up the tube/sleeve, place the rode into the handle socket, lowering the sleeve back to it’s original position covers the soccer and therefore locks it together. The sleeve slides up too easily during use and when this happens, the rod just separate from the handle. If you try hard enough, you can clean the head for reuse.Read more

These are for sure single-use. There’s no way I’m putting in the hours it would take to clean the hair off after, but it unclogged my sink so I’m happy. I only removed a star because it was pretty costly for what you get.Read more

I am not happy with this product. It only removed a bit of surface gunk. Also, cleaning it to re-use is not possible so you would need to buy a new stick for each clean (one clog would take at least 3)… not worth the price or effort!!Read more

It is easy to use and it works great in sinks. The pieces fit together neatly and easily, and the crank mechanism works smoothly. You need a stiff brush to clean it if you wish to use it more than once. I found that it kept getting hair out of the drain for about 5-6 efforts. After that little incremental hair came out. I used it after using a generic chemical drain gel cleaner a few days earlier (which helped speed the drain somewhat, but didn’t really clean the pipes). I wish that I had skipped the chemical gel drain cleaner altogether. It turned much of the hair into gunk which was harder to work with than what I imagine a pure hair clog would have looked like. It worked best on the bathroom sink. It didn’t get anything out of my shower drain (and I find it unlikely there is no hair there). It didn’t penetrate the bathtub drain, which has a cover with several small holes and a lever-operated drain. I couldn’t use it there at all. It seems just a little pricey for what it is, but it came in a durable plastic bag with clear instructions that I can store the remaining weasels in. I did not find it worth the effort to clean/disinfect the weasel to use another day. It came with three weasels.Read more
