This tool actually made my problem worse. My slow draining sink became completely clogged after using this apparatus. I even used 4 of the five disposable bottle brush like rods. Although, they did indeed bring up some of the hair, they pushed more of it into a more solid clog. I have had great success using barbed drain cleaners in the past, as the barbs point up, so they don’t push matter into the drain without pulling it all back up. I was sold on the good reviews for this gadget and liked the idea of not having to clean the bacteria-laden hair off after each use. But I will go back to using the barbed-style sink drain cleaners going forward.Read more

My wife and daughter have thick, beautiful hair. It’s a blessing. However, one drawback is they shed like crazy (I don’t know how they aren’t bald!). That means I’m constantly disassembling pop-up drains and P-traps to pull out beaver pelts made of hair. I was struggling with one bathtub in particular and water was backing up to ankle depth after every shower. Very annoying. This product looked a little flimsy, but the reviews were good so I thought I’d try it. IT WORKS! (please see picture.) I was also able to pull crud out of another drain without removing the pop-up. I recommend it!Read more

This did absolutely nothing on all three of my drains – all of which are slow, one outright clogged. The bathroom is hair and makeup related – but this thing did nothing. It’s not long enough, its not sturdy enough to move through any sort of clog of even the most delicate sort. The spinning thing does nothing. There’s hardly any surface for things to stick to. I really am at a loss. This would be a perfect sink snake to get for a boy when he’s pretending to be a plumber in his playhouse. Then it would be 5 stars. You couldn’t poke a hole through TP w this.Read more

Saw an ad for this on Facebook and decided to give it a try. The grip at the end of the tool works extremely well. It will get stuck on just about any fiber it touches. My bathroom sink was extremely clogged with hair. The drain weasel went down fairly easy, I did have to force it a bit. The first 2-3 times it brought up a whole glob of hair. The 4th time was the biggest glob. It was so gross but so satisfying. The 5th time I could see the drain was clear of hair. My only complaint is that the grip works so well that I couldn’t clean the hair off to use it multiple times. I ended up using the every replacement in the pack to clear the drain. I’m hoping that if cleaned regularly it should get so bad that I can pull the hair off and use it again.Read more

I have a zip it tool I have been using for 12+ years. That has always taken care of my sink clogs. Until now. Our bathroom sink was clogged and water slowly would go down. I used the Zip it and it we got a little bit faster of a drain but not much. We were going to take the trap apart on the bath room sink and clean it out. However someone saw this on facebook and posted it to my wall. I went an ordered it from amazon. The day I arrived I took it to our bathroom sink. In less than 5 minutes I had the sink drain unclogged. I didn’t have the massive ball of hair as in some videos. As this wasn’t my only problem. But the Flexi Snake took care it quickly. I was able to rinse off the head after clearing the clog so I can reuse it. I was worried it would have to be tossed after each clog but I think its more durable than that. I will continue to use this in conjunction with the zip it tool to keep my drains running smoothly.Read more

No exaggeration, this has been the mostly quickly satisfying product I have ever bought on Amazon – and I have bought a LOT of stuff since joining in 2007. Being a homeowner, I bought a heavy duty drain snake to go with my shiny new home. It was a must for visitors who were (or who had kids who were) inquisitive about what a toilet could handle. Toys, whole rolls of toilet paper, pads, one time a toddler’s sock and shoe… But snaking out slow moving drains is a pain. You need to remove the stopper, and all the snake does is punch a hole in whatever it is that is slowing the drain. I always suspected hair, because a little would come out with the snake. My wife, on the other hand, was convinced it was my daily shaving – this being because when it finally completely clogged, the sink was now completely lined with my latest shave. In a three day period, our slow moving drains became stopped drains – my sink (that she uses often when “her side” is too cluttered), her sink, the kids (both girls) sink, and our bathtub. So I bought this. As soon as the delivery arrived we (as a family) ditched Netflix and rushed to the bathroom. In two minutes, I had a small amount of hair, but I could still feel the end hitting something soft. With a little more tenacity and some warm water trickling down the drain, a massive plug pulled. Process repeated for the other sinks. Immensely satisfying “I told you so” moment (without actually needing to say it) for the bald dad to hold up wad upon was of hair and stand exonerated. She even told me “you did good”.Read more

Used this on recommendation from a work colleague, and it performs well. First and only use so far was for an under floor shower trap pipe and I was amazed how much shower gunk this could pull up. Certainly cleared the path for far better drainage so will rely on again in the future when the drainage starts to slow again. Flexible enough to reach corners and the rotary action provides a good gathering motion, with the comfort that the locking mechanism will not let the snake disconnect form the handle and disappear down the pipe.Read more

When this arrived, I thought it looked like cheap rubbish, but I was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. First drain I tried was the shower. True, it pulled out a little bit of hair from the drain, but the tip didn’t go down very far, no matter how much I tried to manoeuvre it. The drain was still blocked and I had to use a plunger, as usual. Second drain I tried was a hand basin with a pop-up waste plug. The drain weasel is supposed to fit down “pretty much any drain”, and the video shows it being used on this type of cover. But it didn’t fit down this drain, and I managed to get it stuck fast in the gap. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t remove it. With one final tug, the entire pop-up unit pulled out along with the drain weasel. I guess this did, at least, unblock the drain, but in short, it’s rubbish.Read more

Have to agree with the reviews it’s expensive for long bit of plastic with Velcro on the end.. BUT on the other hand i didn’t wanna have to call a plumber and the plunger wasn’t doing the job. New dog owner, been bathing my massive dog for about 6 months, and thought we was catching most of the hair but no we definitely wasn’t. Product was super easy to use and got out a rat sized ball of hair. The smell was awful but got so much crap out. Strong bleach for the smell but water is running down perfectly. I would definitely recommend as a try to do it yourself.Read more

Hasn’t made a blind bit of difference to the drain in the bath tub. Thought I’d try as the reviews sounded fantastic but isn’t doing a thing. Possibly too short to reach the blockage? Expensive as well so very disappointed with product. UPDATE: got a bottle of caustic soda for a couple of quid, cleared blockage completely after 2 treatments.Read more

Don’t waste your money. This product is worth about 10% of its delivered price so it’s not surprising that delivery was rapid, with a few strands of plastic in an enormous box. The brushes in the illustration do not fit together so you are left with a little stem that reaches no further than your forearm into the water pipe. If you have a Newfoundland dog in the bath then this may well suit your purpose otherwise save your money for an actual real product. This item is a ripoff and doesn’t work.Read more
