When the thermometer gives me a reading, it matched the number that I got using a traditional “under the tongue” glass device but it takes several attempts before pressing the button reveals a number instead of “Lo” on the screen. The enclosed directions do not instruct users in how to switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit but fortunately, the video included with the ad on Amazon did. Finally, I selected this unit instead of a similarly priced device because it came with a drawstring carry sack, but I did not get the sack with my unit.Read more

One button does it all. Read the directions carefully to learn all of the functions. Pressing the button for varied times gives you varied functions. Once that is accomplished getting a temperature read is quite easy. Pleased that if I suspect a fever in my sleeping baby I can get a quick read. Good value for the price. Just install the pair of batteries that came along with it. Default temperature is in Celsius and it was very easy to switch to Fahrenheit. Just press the only button for 8 secs to switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit and that’s it. It works perfectlyRead more

Super easy to use right out of the box. Thank goodness we had this around as one of my children was feeling warm and I got this out of the box to take their temp. Turned out they did have a fever and this properly identified it. I do have another one, so I checked the accuracy and this one did seem more accurate from the first try, whereas my other one you have to take several readings to get an average.Read more
