I am by no means a car person but even I was able to install this (thank you, YouTube). I got it on sale during Amazon’s lightning deals and it was totally worth it. My previous filter probably had not been changed since I got it so, since I’ve installed the new cabin filtre, it no longer smells like old cigarettes and dust.Read more

Ordered this to replace the same Fram charcoal filter on an 09 Lexus IS. New filter is much less dense and lighter, along with having poor edges. The poor edges cause a whistle noise when the blower is turned on in the car. Pretty disappointed with Fram and the quality. Used to be pretty good. Won’t be buying this again.Read more

The orientation of the pleats in this filter does not match the direction of a rigidity member in the filter frame of a 2016 Toyota Prius Two. The Amazon page states ” This fits your 2016 Toyota Prius.” This is not true, unless there are other trim packages of the 2016 Prius that have a different configuration. Amazon and/or FRAM has/have to fix this problem. I can’t imagine how many unsuspecting 2016 Prius Two owners have to go through the hassle of returning this product, or worse, throwing it out, thus wasting their money, and getting a replacement product that works. I have above average mechanical skills, and thus made the filter fit, but the layman is going to wind up breaking something. C’mon Amazon and FRAM; you can do better than this. I won’t buy this filter again.Read more

After doing some research on the FRAM website, they actually have two models of air cabin filters but it depends on when your car was actually made. This is important as I purchased CF10285 and it didn’t fit. If you have a 2016 Prius made BEFORE 11/2015, this air filter will NOT fit your car as many reviews have stated. However, if your Prius is an 11/15 or later, you actually need the FRAM CF12157.Read more

As captioned above… This does not fit the 2016 Toyota Prius in the manner that the filter tray is designed. Dimensionally it fits, however the pattern of the filter is the opposite direction and so this 5″ piece of plastic that is on the filter is in the way and the filter will not fit…. unless you break this piece of plastic off the filter holder, which is what I did because I didn’t want to deal with this anymore. I’m sure the Toyota dealership will give me a bunch of flak for doing it when I’m in for my next service at 25K.Read more

Perfect fit for 2015 Lexus RX350. Ignore all the crazy dimensions shown here on the various filters, especially this one. Who knows what the heck dimension they were measuring. But if you lay this one on top of the factory Lexus filter it’s the exact same and laid side by side they are the exact same height. That said, just eyeballing and not taking the time to count pleats, there probably are 2-3 less and probably was needed to make allowance for the baking soda air freshener coating. And all the arrow direction business is true if you want to fret over it, but basically, if you can read the writing on the filter when you install it, you have the flow direction correct. I worried for weeks about whether this or any of the cabin filters shown here would fit, others probably do regardless of size given, but this FRAM CF10285 Fresh Breeze Cabin Air Filter is an exact match for my 2015 Lexus RX350. Glad I bought it. More than easy and quick for an old codger like me to install. So no worries.Read more

My wife and I have a 2016 Toyota Camry LE. I have a 2008 Jeep Compass, and man, that thing was insane to work on. I dreaded changing any part of the Camry, and admittedly, waited entirely too long to change the cabin air filter. I gotta say, I was very pleased and surprised with how easy Toyota made it to change the cabin filter! Opened the glove box, emptied our booklets, etc., popped off the cover in the very back, slid out the old filter (which was incredibly disgusting), pop the new one in, and replace the steps in reverse. Literally took me about five minutes, tops. I’ve purchased air filters for my previous cars in the past at Walmart, but where we’re located in Chicago, it’s usually much easier to get the things we need either buy just going to the suburbs or, you guessed it, Amazon. The price to me was fair, and the product has been a noticeable increase in driving enjoyment – maybe the whole Arm & Hammer addition to the filter is a gimmick or a placebo or something, but it seems to make a difference to me. It’s been in our car for a little over a month, and the cabin still smells very good. Our next one I will also order from here, and if that one is as good as this one was, I’m fairly sure I’ll sign up for the Amazon subscription and have one delivered every few months. PRO – Super easy installation (2016 Toyota Camry LE, though the filter played a part as it was the correct size) Good quality, noticeable difference in air quality inside the car VERY good price compared to AutoZone – the same exact filter (Fram CF10285) was $12.89, whereas AutoZone is $24.99 for the same exact thing. Smells just as good / strong over a month after installation CON – Honestly, it’s an air filter. It seems to make a difference and it was cheap, so I have no complaints.Read more

First and foremost, install this filter with the arrow on the filter pointing DOWN! If you use an O.E./ factory Toyota cabin filter the arrow must point UP. Not sure why Toyota would put an arrow on their filter showing what “up” is, all other aftermarket filter use the arrow to indicate air flow direction. In a 5th generation 4Runner, the air flows from TOP to BOTTOM! Install with arrow pointing DOWN. Ok, I did my due diligence, lol. Been using these filters for 2 years, I change mine twice a year, once in spring, once in the fall. Never had a problem and keeps cabin air fresh. No issues at all with any odors from heater or air conditioning. This makes a good “subscribe and save” item! Also, if you order this filter, don’t order anything heavy or bulky at the same time from Amazon, they may pack it in the same box and it may get damaged during shipping.Read more

Excellent well worth the money. ive tried the basic filters that dont have baking soda and they work good but this is great. the air in my car is always fresh through the vents and correct filtration. i take long drives 12-16 hours so for me i can notice the difference on the air i breathe while driving espcially in the hot summer days, i heard the knn and bosch filters can damage your ac unit and had mixed reviews so i didnt spend the extra money on the highest quality filter but this one def works great. usually i never buy fram cuz they sell at walmart and walmart keeps low quality stuff but this products but is not cheap quality. and reasonable priced . i change these every year worth 30$ if your like me and maintain your car well. their may be better products on the market but i only use reliable products with good reviews i do not use products that have bad reviews. if your in the market this one is very reliableRead more

Easy to install in my 2016 Subaru Outback. Filter is located behind the glove box. No tools required. Open and empty the glove box. Remove the lever on the right side by pulling it outwards. Pull the glove box outwards to remove it completely. It has two snap-on connectors on the bottom. Now pinch the tabs on both sides of the cover plate to remove and expose the air filter. The Subaru air filter has an arrow pointing up which shows the correct orientation for the factory filter. For the Fram air filter, the arrow shows the direction of the air flow so this should be pointed down towards the floor. Now just replace the cover plate (it has an orientation arrow to show which wAy is up), then the glove box snaps back on and finally re-attach the lever. Done in 5 minutes. Not sure how much that would have cost me at the dealership but I am going to guess it would have been at least $60.Read more

Fits in my 2008 Camry Hybrid as expected (double checked Fram’s website first) and it is doing it’s job. Does it restrict airflow compared to the thin stock filter? Yes. Does it do a better job of blocking smells and allergens? Best as I can tell, yes. Like everything in life, sometimes you have to compromise to get the features you want.Read more
