OK, it fits, so it gets a “3.” But what does it actually do? There is no air circulating through this thing, so I don’t know how it can be called a filter. There is no hole in the back of the filter box itself, so no air can be going through the filter element. It just hangs there along the side of the fridge – how can that be doing anything at all? I’ll not be replacing this thing in the future, and neither should you. Just reset the replacement warning light.Read more

It is NOT an air filter!! It’s a cardboard box with one side open to expose a carbon infused piece of paper folded accordion style. There is no way for air to pass through it nor is there any way for your refrigerator to push or pull air through it. Open the compartment and look for yourself, no fan motor or venting. It’s just a slide out holder for this pleated piece of paper. Just buy some cheese cloth or grab a sock or a piece of pantyhose and fill for active carbon. Same thing yet the option I’m offering will last you a life time for the price of one these “air filters”. Misleading! Should be called an “ODOR ABSORBER”. Baking powder also does the same. Don’t know if it reduces smells. Replacement display on fridge is just timed. Every 6 months, says replace. Can be costly when replacing water and air filter. Reset display for longer time between replacing.Read more
