I don’t know why, but the local DIY stores don’t seem to stock this particular caulk. Oh well, at least it’s available on Amazon, even if it ain’t cheap. I never like working with the heavy-duty silicone caulks because they’re such a mess, but sometimes there’s no other option, you know? This stuff is no different, but if you search the internet for tips and tricks, you should do alright. My distinctly non-professional tips are: use painters tape to get straight edges, have tons of paper towel squares handy (toss them right into the garbage whenever you wipe your finger) and moisten your finger with water to flatten/fill the gap. Watch a few videos and you’ll get it.Read more

This works great to seal a bathtub and looks great after the area is properly treated, meaning area must be properly cleaned and, especially the wall tiles that surround the bathtub should be taped, like when painting a wall. Taping prevents runs and leaves a straight cleaned line all the way around where the sealant is applied. I read other reviews that stated this stuff is difficult to apply, but one must consider that this is not regular caulking or just a regular sealant, but an adhesive as well. Because it’s an adhesive, it tends to stick to anything, whether it’s your hands, cleaning rags, walls or even the bathtub if not careful. So, my advice; remove old sealant, clean the area well (I used regular alcohol), tape area just above the bathtub as closed as possible to the area you’re trying to seal, I used a credit card to force sealant into crack but you can find tools for this purpose here at Amazon, scrape excess sealant from tub (again, I used a credit card), cleanup as much residue as possible using a rag an alcohol (make sure to turn rag over often to prevent spreading the sealant and ending up with a mess), then remove the tape. If satisfy with your results, let it dry.Read more

After trying several other brands and types on my shower pan it seemed that all of them either failed to adhere, or would start collecting mold. This has been on our shower for months now with no hint of mold. You do need to be more careful in applying. This caulk material is sticky. This makes it adhere extremely well, but you can’t smooth it out like you do with normal caulk. I found I had to use liquid soap on my finger so my finger didn’t stick to the caulk. Other than being more particular about application, I think this caulk is great and will use nothing else from now on in areas that could experience mold.Read more

This product definitely works as advertised! It was very easy to apply. I watched a few videos about professional ways to apply it. My recommendations: wear vinyl disposable gloves (this stuff is sticky are hard to remove from fingers/hands); use painters blue tape to cover the areas up and down from the caulking area (edges/corners); after applying caulking use a professional tool to smooth it out–don’t use the plastic spoon, it’s messy; work on a side first and then the rest, one by one, and remove the painter’s tape immediately (this stuff dries fast). After removing the tape (carefully) you’ll see why especially this is a great idea. After curing, the caulking feels really sturdy. I just hope it does last 10 years or so.Read more

I read that the caulk can come out the wrong side here so i decided to use a long stick to prod inside the business end where the caulk is supposed to come out and discovered that there’s like a thin film that seals the caulk in the tube. You need to poke the heck out of it so caulk can squeeze through and come out. Otherwise i think it’ll cause the problem some here have described, burst out of the wrong end. Other than that, which is odd cause other caulks I’ve used doesn’t have that barrier between the tube and the cone, no issues. Does infact dry fast. I’ll give it a week to see how effective it is. -1 star cause of that odd issue that wasn’t mentioned that can cause the caulk to burst out from the bottom. Edit: And it dries very white. Like as white as this pages background white.Read more

I thought caulk was caulk but after using this, I’m a believer that it’s a “you get what you pay for” proposition. This caulk goes down easier, and looks better than the DAP products I had been using for years. I wish I had known about this long ago. I highly recommend this.Read more

I put this on my kitchen countertop/back splash edge and it ended up being a murky white. I spent 5 hrs. removing it. To say the least I’m disappointed and tired. If you want clear caulk don’t get this. I waited two days before removing and it stayed murky white.Read more

I think this is a very good caulk, but it was extremely difficult to get it out of the tube. I wore my hands out squeezing the handle. Because it was so difficult to apply, it was uneven and hard to smooth out. I think a power caulk gun might have solved the problem. I’ve used a lot of caulk and this was the first time I’ve run into this problem.Read more

In the photos you can see the before (yellow sealant done by my stupid landlord) And after (all in white and clean) It was my second time doing xalking and it was realy easy, no problem with the tube. Some warm water and dish soap to smooth it out and it looks 10x better than what my landlord did.Read more

I used to use this brand many years ago, the new formula has NO SMELL! and what a big difference, this is truly high quality seal, true 100% pure silicone is what you want for shower/bath and this goes above and beyond. The mold resistance only time will tell so I can’t speak to that yet, I will come back years later and update this review.Read more

I was a complete noob for caulking but I managed to do my shower PERFECTLY. Get this silicone. It’s a perfect white color and so easy to apply. I’m mindblowned how good it looks. I suggest using some paint tape for better result.Read more

Used to to seal a new shower that was installed. It literally took 15 minutes to “dry” and was water tight. It’s slightly more expensive than other materials, but the white is nice and bright and so far no stains, smells or fungi mold.Read more

Bought this 100% silicone from GE that promised a super product but unfortunately I could not get the silicone out of the tube after piercing the seal with a large nail. The more I pressed the caulking gun handle ,the more silicone came out from the back were the pushing plat is. Not good!!! I do not recommend it.Read more
