I was having issues with my dog dragging my backdoor rug through the house and chewing on it, so I began shopping for a replacement that would be heavy enough to prevent this. I found this one with mostly good reviews and a nice price, so I bought it. The rug is easy to flatten out, particularly if you roll it back and forth a few times in the opposite direction. It’s heavy enough to thwart my Chihuahua’s plans of dragging it through the house, but she decided it looked interesting enough to chew on. She started on a corner and the “threads” very quickly began to unravel. The result is an area about an inch wide in one of the corners leaving the black mat exposed, but not too noticeable and the rug is still useful (curbed the chewing by drenching it in Grannick’s Bitter Apple spray ;)). Everything was fine and I remained pleased with my purchase until the day that I came home from picking up groceries and my little angel was so happy to see me that she decided to let her bladder fly. I knew that the rug would be very easy to clean, so I picked it up to begin that process. When I lifted it, I noticed that the pee had gone directly through the rug and was matted all over the back of the mat and the floor. This was not a complete bladder expulsion, just the happy pee of a five-pound Chihuahua–which was apparently more than the poor rug could take. Again, this rug is incredibly easy to clean. I took it out on my back porch, doused it with some oxy-cleaner, sprayed it with a water hose, and hung it over the railing to dry. The rug was completely dry in less than a half-hour, the scent was gone, and back inside it went. As far as basic absorbency from rain, dirt, mud, etc. goes, my experience has been positive. Not so much with heavier amounts of fluid like snow and Chi pee. If your needs are more basic, this rug could certainly get the job done.Read more

I bought a couple of these, thinking I was going to use them outside, though currently both mats are still inside. They feel hefty, and seem that they would be good for wiping off debris from shoes before coming inside. Since I have them inside, I findI would really rather have something more plush and absorbent to get the remaining moisture off my shoes before proceeding farther into the house. But with the thick layer of tufted polyester, I never make it to a layer that actually wipes the bottom of my shoes, so they are still wet, just free of most debris. The item description says it is comfortable on bare feet. I haven’t spent a lot of time standing on it in bare feet, but I didn’t find it particularly comfortable. Better than standing on gravel, but not nearly as comfortable as standing on grass, for instance. I don’t find this mat to be a very good choice for indoors, but it seems like a good choice for outdoors (and I should probably move mine outdoors!).Read more

This mat is perfect outside my patio door that leads to a pool. There is no fabric to get moldy. It dries fast. Love it. I will buy another for a side door. nice color too.Read more

I have an odd setup in the side entry of my house that I use the most often. Upon opening the door, there are only about 5 feet of space before the opening for the basement steps. I was previously using a regular small-sized welcome mat that would slide around on the floor and made me worried that someone would trip and go head-first down the stairs. This doormat was the perfect size, including the width, it’s a low-enough profile that the door easily opens over it, and it stays in place. I did get adhesive strips to put on the underside of the mat edges for extra security, so I’m not sure if there would be any movement without them. So far so good! Just received this mat and put in our entry way. Came exactly as pictured – love the colors. I obviously didn’t read the full description as I thought these would be carpet but they’re more like.. plastic? But in a good way. Surprisingly comfy to walk on. Would recommend!Read more
