UPDATE: In addition to the printing, these bags have substantially changed. Thinner and more difficult to open. Look at the photo reviews. Those reviews are from the old bags. These bags are horrible. UPDATE 2: I have switched to EZ Pickup bag brand, also on Amazon. Just like the old Gorilla bag – plain and simple; no printing, good thickness, and coreless – which is important to me (to reduce waste). I’ve purchased these bags for years – many years – with no complaints. Like the quality and the dispenser. I’m a discrete person. I buy *black* bags – always. I don’t want colors or scents or frills. I don’t want these to be noticed – I want the opposite. These are for holding poop after all – their job is *not to be noticed.* Shocked to open this box and see that these are now printed top to bottom – with a picture of a poop bag **on the poop bag!** I don’t even know what to say and I’m stuck with 1000 of these. I’ll be moving on. These went from discrete to totally, completely cheesy overnight. I feel stupid with these bags now.Read more

All pros but for one thing… Pros: –Big enough. My dog is ~55 lbs and has a decent dump size. I’ve always been able to pick everything up with one bag and have plenty of room to tie –Black color (versus the blue that others have commented on) means you can’t see what’s inside. –No inner tube. The bags are rolled on themselves, so there is no extra tube on the inside –Dispenser works great! Sometimes I have to open it to re-adjust the bags, but it’s no big deal. It also fits onto my leash loop so I never forget them –The box they come in is small, about 6x6x6 in, so very easy to store the extra bags Cons: –Not biodegradable…I should note that the company doesn’t say specifically they are biodegradable, but earth-friendly. So it is not false advertising, but rather I’m listing this as a con because the terminology used is confusing and led me to think they were biodegradable. They are “earth-friendly” because the bags are made of plastic that, within a handful of years instead of centuries, break down–in the presence of light and oxygen. So unless you are leaving a pile of poop bags out to bake in the sun, they will not break down in a land fill. There is a great Quora thread that addresses this topic called, “Are “earth-friendly” dog poop bags like Pogi’s really better for the environment?” Look this up to find a longer explanation on the poop bag confusion At the end of the day, leaving piles of dog poop everywhere to leach into water sources isn’t really all that earth-friendly, either, and certainly isn’t shoe-friendly! The fact that it is a box of 1000 rolls, with no inner tubes and in a small cardboard box means there is very little packaging involved which is also kind to our planet. Overall, I have been very satisfied with this purchase and probably won’t need to get any more bags for a few years at least, which is one less thing for me to think about.Read more

You would think that all poop bags are create equal…until you get a pack of poop bags that are the poops. We bought a pack of poop bags from ebay that were blue, opaque, thin, and didn’t tear well from the roll. All things that you want to AVOID when picking up poop. When the sh@! hits the floor, you want to be able to have these things at the ready! Especially when its 50 below out and you don’t want to have to take off your glove to unroll a bag for your friend’s steaming pile. Well, that’s what my husband and I had to do for 1000 steaming piles until we ran out of the other sh!@$y bags. Then I bought this brand. I thought, it’s “Gorilla.” Gorillas are big and strong and I can only imagine the piles they leave behind. If these bags are good enough for a gorilla, then they’re good enough for my 85 and 65 lb dogs. And they are. They don’t have a plastic core, so there’s no waste after the last bag. They are thicker then the other ebay bags that I had, which keeps them from tearing as you handle them. AND they’re BLACK!! After all, no one wants to see your walking souvenirs. So before you buy any ol’ random poopy picker uppers. Consider that my husbandand I dealt with enough sh@! for all of us for the last year to tell you that you will want bags that are good enough for it.Read more

My giant box of amazon brand doggy bags finally ran out (after 2 years). I got these ones base on price point and reviews. It’s cheaper than amazon brand but unfortunately also less effective. Poo is not something I want to feel, and with this bag I definitely felt it, Inch by inch of doo doo. The amazon brand is thicker and of higher quality. This one feels more like the free ones they have at the dog parks. The box and the dispenser these bags came with is pretty cool though. Next time (probably in another two years) I will fork out the extra few dollars for the higher quality bags.Read more

This is my fourth time ordering these bags and the first time I was disappointed. These bags seem different. They are thinner and more transparent but more annoying is that these bags have grey print on the exterior. Every other order and also the product listing, show solid black bags with no writing/graphics on the bags. These are printed all over. Not a major issue just kind of annoying as I was looking for a solid bag.Read more
