My 28# cockapoo has eaten these for quite a while — almost daily basis; loved them and no problems. A couple weeks ago when I received the latest order, he had a couple and started having (TMI alert) loose poops that progressed to looser with blood and mucous. I wondered about the Greenies, but couldn’t rule out anything else. Then, last week, it happened again. Greenies was the only thing introduced back into his diet on a regular basis. Without them, his gut recovers and is OK. Has anyone else experienced this?Read more

First of all, the regular size (for 25-50lb dogs) are far too big for a 30 lb dog. About a week and a half ago, one of my two dogs had a medical emergency shortly after I gave each of them one a Greenie. I suspected the Greenie had something to do with it, but my vet convinced me otherwise. My dog had been steadily improving over the past week, and so today I gave another Greenie to each dog. Within an hour of eating it, my dog can barely walk. She hasn’t shown signs of diarrhea yet, but she just stands there, I think because her system is so upset that it’s too uncomfortable for her to even lie down. If she dies, I’ll look into suing the manufacturer. It wasn’t until now that I’ve seen reviews from other owners whose dogs have also had severe reactions. DO NOT GIVE TO ANY ANIMAL!Read more

My dogs are very healthy and have never had digestive issues. I gave both dogs a Greenie the day the treats arrived, and both of them had black, tarry diarrhea within four hours. For about 24 hours, we were all miserable. I normally feed my pups rawhide treats and Bully sticks, and they’ve never had a problem with any treat before. I seldom give a bad review, but these treats deserve one.Read more

I usually do not write reviews, but I have to for this product to warn future buyers. Everyone please check your contents as I’m sure i’m not the first to report receiving expired Greenies. I have been giving my dogs 1 each daily once I received the treats and did not think to check the contents thoroughly. Today, when I opened the bag I see little white worms near the opening. I dump the entire contents out and to my shock, there’s an infestation of these guys in the bag. This is not ok so please vendors take extra time to not send out expired products, especially ones that are designed for consuming. Consumers, please check all bags so that you will not have sick dogs on your hands.Read more

Made my dog very sick. She’s had diarrhea for 2 days. This is the only thing that could have caused it. I have thrown the whole package away. I will never purchase again. Not sure if the actual bones were expired or if it’s just the ingredients. My dog has eaten all sorts of bones and treats but nothing has made her this sick. Never ever again. Please beware.Read more

i used to give my GSD greenies rarely, just when she had dog breath from eating god knows what on her walk. they are expensive, and so i saw no reason to give them to her every day. but as she got older, her teeth became stained, and she rally hates it when i brush her teeth. i can do it, but it is always a struggle. so last year,i started giving her one greenie every day, and the stains have mostly disappeared from her teeth. an older dog’s quality of life can be very much affected by tooth decay, so i am glad to have found that greenies work so well to clean her teeth.Read more

Made our dog very ill. Our beagle is currently in the throws of sickness brought on by 1 greenie. He is not eating anything but grass and just vomited like never before. I’m now just reading about the hazards of these dental chews and wish I would have known not to buy them. Our vet recommended dental chews because our dog is too old for anasthesia for dental cleanings. Greenies felt like a safe choice because of their long running success. Our dog happily chewed up his Greenie and ate dinner later on yesterday. But today is a completely different scenario and I’m really concerned. He’s at our side 24-7 and hasn’t had any opportunity to eat anything but his dog food. The only odd thing he consumed in the last 24 hours was the greenie. It’s labor day and not easy to find an open vet in our small town. I’m very concerned and disappointed. I’ll never use this product again and highly recommend you think twice as well before giving these to your fur babies.Read more

When I visited the home of a relative a few months ago she gave me a few of these that had been broken in half to take home to my dog. When I got home he smelled them in my pocket and started jumping around until I gave him one. When I gave it to him he started flipping it around and playing with it before eating it. He liked them so much I began buying them but I find them too pliable to break in half so I just give him one whole one each day. My dog likes other treats too but does not act like this with them. Now he stands by where I keep hem and cries for one every morning! My husband said it is almost like catnip for dogs because of how he plays with them. Now I have to make sure I never run out because my dog loves these so much! When the Amazon box or sometimes an envelope arrives he must be able to smell them because he is so happy and tries to help me open the box. My dog is a beagle with a little cocker spaniel in him. One time he flipped it around and it went under my bed and he chewed the footboard trying to get at the Greenie so now I always make sure I’m home and watching him while he eats it. Great treat and I loved the toothbrush shape, too!Read more

Dogs just love these. Not sure if they work as advertised for the teeth, because my wife brushes the dogs teeth daily with colloidal silver. These are very expensive, there should be a bulk product buy discount. Vet said to chill on these as my dogs are supposedly getting fat. My vet is fat himself, I didn’t point that out. I did point out that they are old dogs, and just like people, they deserve as much quality in their life as I can give them. So I cut back on the kibble a bit.Read more

Excellent for two of our dogs though the third one does seem to get a bit of a tummy upset – unusual for her. The other two love them and they really do seem to benefit the teeth.Read more

Doggie loves these chews – just the right texture so he is not able to demolish them too quickly. Other varieties are too soft.Read more
